The finest decoy carvers in the world live there.

I love to cruise!  We just returned Saturday from Southern Caribbean.  My dream would be to get off one ship, get my laundry done at the nearest laundromat, repack, and get on the next ship out.....anywhere!!  We have been on two Alaskan cruises, and enjoyed every minute of them!  The scenery is beautiful and the history is so educational!!  The Caribbean (2 cruises) were everything we could have asked for.  We sailed out of Boston about 5 years ago and went upward into Canada.  Amazing scenery.  Whale watching in Bar Harbor was the greatest!  Oh my!!  Gotta run!!  Gonna pack!!

I think I have already taken my dream vacation.  My husband and I went to Hawaii several years ago.  I think that is when I first suspected that he had Alzheimer's.  Vacations since then have become more of a chore than relaxing.

Where would I like to go?
Greece, Italy...Looks like a Mediterranean Cruise in my future...
Have to see Alaska and I have to go to North Dakota, the only 2 states I have yet to go to.
I want to return to Scotland.
I also want to go to Budapest.  (Probably an influence from the book I read The Historian very good book)

I've been on a cruise to the Bahamas which was everything and more than I thought it would be..My ultimate Vacation would take a year, travel the USA in a motor home stop and see everything we wanted to.It would end up the mountains somewhere for Christmas.I would rent a cabin with a fireplace and we would put up a tree and have the Best Christmas ever to end the most perfect vacation.

Thanks, prayers never hurt and you never know who needs them more, the person with the disease or the family. Reading your posts if anyone has a "direct line" it would have to be you.
He never says anything but I know it frustrates him. Can't figure out who gets frustrated more me or him.

My husband has always enjoyed cars, as a matter of fact he loves / loved going to watch Sprint Car races we will see what happens this spring/summer if he still wants to go. Most of the photos from the trip are on the computer and he does not go on the computer, I should have them printed out for him to look at.
All in all he is doing very well compared to where he could be.

My dream vacation has already happened.  Several years ago we went on a cruise to Tahiti and French Polynesia, and the Cook Islands.  It was magnificent!!!!!!!!  Moorea, Bora Bora, and the islands around it were pure paradise.  We also went to Raitonga, Huahini, Riatea, and Tahaa.  I honestly did not want to come home.  We have been to Alaska twice, the Caribbean, the Panama Canal, Mexico three times, also New England/ Canada, and last summer we went to the Baltic countries including St. Petersberg, Russia.  Everyone was scenic and interesting, but the South Sea Islands are something else!!

Nikki, I am so sorry about your husband, I have friends who have dealt with that horrible disease, and they all say it is harder on the family than the patient.  All my best wishes and prayers are with you and your husband.

Just relaxing at home with a stack of good books to read, listening to some music, not doing any chores(laundry, cooking, etc.) & having someone to get what ever I want (food, drink, massage) and no phone ringing.

Nikki, I know what you are going thru. Same thing here but it is in the very early stages and he flat refuses to admit it or go to a doctor.

I would love to go to Ireland, Greece and Italy.
