I finally made it to the World Market store. What a great store they have all kinds of things there from all over the world.I bought a great little cast iron teapot there. It's green my favorite color and is decorated with bamboo upraised designs.I also bought the warmer made from cast iron and it holds a tea light to keep the tea warm. They have all kinds of unique things including baking items. We bought Kona coffee from Hawaii there and boy is that good.I also tasted dark chocolate with pink pepper corns and that also was good.I found Vegemite there which is a product of Australia.I have an Aussie friend and tasted it at her home it's a salty yeast concoction they eat like we do peanut butter minus the jelly on bread. They have Sushi nori (seaweed for rolling Sushi rolls) and a ton of other goodies from everywhere.I can't wait to go back.maybe tomorrow I just saw another teapot that I wanted in their E-mail.I collect anything that has to do with coffee or tea and my collection just keeps getting bigger.

No, I have not been there.  Sounds like it would be a cool place to shop though.

"The World Market"  used to be called "Cost Plus" in our area.  I agree they have all sorts of good stuff.  It is a great place to make up a gift basket.  They have all sorts of items that are fun and unusual, plus the baskets and you can get cellophane to wrap it up there too.  A few years ago I made up a basket for a bridge party raffle.  I found a darling tea pot that had a matching cup, then I added various teas, and goodies that went with tea.  It was a fun project, and everyone wanted to win it.

I've been there quite a few times.  Usually I go there before the winter holidays since they have unique things that can't be found anywhere else.  They also carry lots of imported chocolates and marzipan(one of my favorites) along with wines from around the world that make great gifts.

I shop there once in a while.  I do find a nice selection of tea that is at times difficult to find in other stores.
I understand they were recently bought by  Bed Bath and Beyond or at least the company that owns Bed Bath and Beyond.  I wonder if they will begin to accept the 20%off coupons :) that would make shopping there even better.
I have not purchased any of the furniture they do have some nice looking bookcases and I need more bookcases. But I can't afford to make any purchase like that for a while!

Our whole family loves Cost Plus/World Market. And I do the same thing for gift basket's, Barbara! The only thing that concerns me is the country of origin of some of their products, as I don't any bugs coming home with me!!!

Darla M, I think Gale lives in Ohio but I don't know what city!  I know there is a
Cost Plus in Grandville, MI and we have one in La Mesa, CA which is close to
San Diego.

Go to their website and put in your location.  They have 250 stores according to their site.  I put in a few states and nothing came up so they may be pretty sporadic now but I would imagine they will open as more people ask.
