Gale, thanks for this post.  I love dolphins and porpoises.  I did get a chance to hug one when we were in CA at Sea World.  It is one of those little things in life that give us such pleasure.

I have seen this video before and it never ceases to amaze me.

I think many people just fail to "see" what is around them.  Take a bit of time and look around.

The sound and sight of cranes migrating.  They fly so high up that it can sometimes be difficult to locate them.
I have often been amazed when driving to see hundreds of birds, most likely starlings, making moving decorative patterns in the sky.  I had been searching for the term they use for that and recently I found it.  It is called a Murmuration of Starlings.
If anyone has heard this formation called by another name please let me know.

We went to the Bahamas in 1997,a family vacation. We spent 4 days on the Big Red Boat and 3 days in Disney. We chose the Dolphin Encounter for the boys they were 8 and 15 at the time.We went to Blue Lagoon Island to do the encounter. That was truly one of the most beautiful places I have ever been in my life. One of the Dolphins there was named Jake and he is the Dolphin that we had our encounter with.Jake was one of the Dolphins used in the movie "FLIPPER" in 1996.I'll always remember Jake and our lovely day we spent with him on Blue Lagoon Island.
