I'm 51.  Age isn't an issue with me however I have been trying very hard to embrace menopause.  I'm not doing so well.  I'm a HOT mess!!  Hot flashes and night sweats are kicking my back side!  I am seeing my doctor on Tuesday....hopefully she will give me some good drugs....otherwise I can not promise that some one will not get hurt....namely my poor patient as Job husband!

I'm 48.  Mentally, I still feel like I'm 25, but with bad knees and back aches, I feel like I'm 75.  However, I keep going.  I guess I have to.  If I don't do things, who will, right?

69    on the whole        i'm better than i was a couple of yrs ago, except for my hands and grip due to my "easy" desk job with the county
2 yrs ago i bought a stationary bike to get moving again  and i now ride a minimum of 30 mins a day but most days i do 1 hour (10 mins at a time)                  as a result i have lost almost 60 lbs in that 2 yrs and feel much better (no diet)

renee        as one who had hist at the age of 32        and endometrious 13 yrs later requiring major belly-opening surgery   that also took my ovaries           and not being allowed any hormones for 18 months after  to make sure it didn't come back
let me give you what worked for me

100% cotton          clothing and bedding     the blended fabrics   and all that  elastic really add to your discomfort             they say that any 100% fabric such as wool also, but we don't wear much wool in texas

I am 58 going to be 59 in Feb. (God willing)
None of my birthdays ever bothered me.  I just don't pay attention to age.  However this past year or two has been difficult.  With my husband and dealing with his alzheimer's, the move and all the legal stuff has just drained me. I also have been holding off dealing with my own health and I know that is not good for my husband or me.

For the most part I do feel younger than I am....at least on most days.

****
for the hot flashes try Black Cohosh it worked for me.  When the Black Cohosh stopped I would do Soy Isoflavones for a while then switch back to the Black Cohosh. After a while I went off and have not had a flash in probably 8 or 9 years.

I'm 73 and still work 3 days a week.  I live in the country so do lots of outdoor thing.  I go to the gym and pilates a few times a week.  I also ride my horse and compete in eventing.  I don't jump 4 feet anymore, but keep it under 3.  My horse would do it, but I don't want to.  Other than the hip replacement (other one will be in January), some arthritic hands I'm in really good shape.

I turned 57 this year, but at times I feel much older.  However - I think your brain stays in your late 20's to early 30's FOREVER!  It is simply that your body does not understand.  LOL
