NANCY ; I endured ( yes suffered) for years w/ migraines. You are entitled to your" whinning" they are no funCry
Are you absolutely  sure they are migraines????????????Undecided
Sensitivity to light, motion & sound are closeWink
If you  have recently cut back on your caffeine intake; a side effect of caffeine withdrawl is headaches very similar to migraines. As a matter of fact, drs. & drug companies reccomend caffeine to relieve migraine headachesSurprised
As a matter offact, my migraines started when I quit caffeine on the advice of a doctor.
It was only years later that I learned about caffeine withdrawl ,possibly casusing the headaches.
I have since suggested to friends, cutting back on cafffeine, to switch to half caf ( 50% less caffeine) coffee rather than just go cold turkey to decaf.
I always found that a darkened & quiet room was  the best place for me  when I had those;  It was hard to find a suitable place in a house w/  young kids; but when finally found; the relief was pretty nice.Smile.

NANCYFor your cold;  get rest ( dark quiet location) & drink lots of liquids( cool water is best )  ice water will only aggrivate your migraine( think brain freeze)Tongue out
Rest is good for both problems
. I hope this helps.Kiss

Nancy, have you ever tried zinc?  That seems to work for me when I'm getting a cold.  I lieu of that I think the Kitty Cure is in order!!

John, I hope your back stays better.  I can't imagine 2 MRIs In one day.  They had to give me tranquilizers for just one!! ( I'm very claustrophobic)  Take care and feel better!!

How kind you are Ann ...... when I posted my whining it was a real live migraine diagnosed by the fine neuro dept of that hospital that did the brain surgery to remove the tumor that had started the migraines.   Wow - that's a sentence that could cause a migraine for anyone!
Since surgery, way back in '06 and '07 I have fewer and fewer migraines and they are easier to stop.
Some day migraines will probably end for me.
And my cold is long gone ...... as usual, cured by time.

Now - more whining - now my problem is a trichilemnal spot on my nose.  I supposed it was a basal mole that would be quickly removed but it's not.  Tomorrow morning I go back to derma. who took the biopsy.  He's going to remove the stitches and inspect the rest of my body. oooooohhhhh.

April 18, 7:30 AM, I go into St. Louis to have it removed ....Surgery using the Mohs methods will take all day... . Then big pressure bandage for 2 days.  Plastic surgery?  Local doc said I'd have to have that but it's not being discussed now.  He will remove those stitches too.

Maybe, just maybe I can stop whining for awhile.

Nancy the Mohs method is great.  They do it at the University hospital here. Good luck.

Judy - I'd never heard of that Mohs method   (I'd never heard of trichilemna either) so I looked all over the Internet and at the office that's going to do the removal surgery ..... wow - they have a movie about it.
My visit to the local dermatologist this morning was good .... he talked in detail about what was going on.
I made it through that "inspection" of my body  --- agggghhhhhh.  He found nothing except a small spot inside my ear.  Inside my ear!!
He removed a bit of it to send off for biopsy.
After this morning I'm feeling better.   Maybe I'll get off the pity potty.  LOL LOL

Nancy,  I'd not heard of the Mohs method either. Google is great for finding out things.
It looks like you have a doctor that is up to date on everything. I'm glad you are feeling
better. I will be praying for you!!! Hang in there!!!

Nancy,
I know that you know that God is everywhere. This is just a small cross to bear and it probably is so that you take time to rest and rejuvenate yourself to continue all your wonderful deeds. I have been reading a lot of your posts and I know that God is watching so take the time and rest.

Nancy,  My friend from Tops club also had the mohs method done to a basel cell on the
top of her head last week!! She has 12 staples in her head and is doing really well. She
was there about 4 hours! I asked her today and she said it was the mohs method. She
never said the method last week but it sounded like what you were going to have done.
She said not to worry that it wasan't as bad as she thought it would be. It is a small
world, now 2 people that I know are having the same thing done. Good luck sweetie,
you will be fine because you are going to have all your VBB friends praying for you!!!

Thank you dear people - thank you.
This message board is such a blessing of God.
I didn't talk on the old Nestles board and I sure didn't expect to talk here either..... lol.
It's made all the difference in the world to me.

Nancy,  I never talked on the old Nestles board either. The first couple of times that I went
on I just read forums and thought this is really neat. I got a couple of recipes and thought
these people are really nice and talk about things that I'm interested in. Now I'm hooked!!!
I love this site and all the people on it!!!

It is amazing to see how many of us never talked on the old Nestles message board, myself included! I fee as if I am developing a group of friends who share similar interests even if you do not live in my state. Love you all!

Count me as one who never talked on the old VBB.  I'd look at recipes almost daily and that was about it.  Sometimes I'd read some of the stories people wrote.  Maybe Nestle was on to something when they changed the whole site :-)
