I haven't seen a post from Ann N   for a couple days...... Have you? Is she OK?  Does anyone write to her? I sure wish she would let us know what's going on.

Nancy, We have been missing Ann since 5/17, Barbara B. from northern CA since
5/7, and Wa-Ha from Texas since 5/10. I know that Barbara was going to San Diego
for a few days but it has been quite a few days. Wa-Ha lives in tornado alley and
was having a lot of weather and fires around her. We also have not heard from
Carol B. in a long time! I am saying extra prayers for them!! I'm getting these dates
from under their names, where it tells how many posts, first and last. I hope these
are correct!!

I sure hope they are okay. We have had some crazy weather with storms this year. More tornados than I can ever remember having and so close together.

Nancy, I usually have a pretty good memory and I wanted to ask Barbara how her
San Diego trip went, so I hope she is ok! It looks like VBB has done a good job on
the forums with putting the last date everyone posts. I know my first date is wrong
on mind because it said 2008 and I didn't start on these forums until the end of 2010!

I agree that we need to pray that they are OK! I know we have PM now so we can
keep in touch! Maybe I worry too much!!

Nancy, Ann's post on 5/17 mentioned that her husband wasn't feeling well. Hope they're both ok. Hope the same for Barbara and Wa-Ha.

Don't worry, Carol. I am home, but have been occupied with things since returning from San Diego. San Diego was a very nice get away. We stayed at Shelter Island at the Island Palms and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. On the way down we stopped in Solvang for a night and had lots of fun scarfing up on Danish Pastries. On the way back we stayed one night in Santa Barbara....The highest prices for gasoline were in Santa Barbara $ 4.43 a gal for regular.
While in San Diego, we took a side trip to the Wild Animal safari run by the San Diego Zoo, and also had dinner in Old town at Casa Guadalajara among other things. It was a fun get away and a change from the regular routine. The weather was OK, not spectacular, but no rain and the sun did come out, but it was chilly.
Hope everthing is OK with all my friends on VVB!

Barbara, I'm glad you are back and that you had a good time in San Diego! I know it
was kind of chilly! We are about 20 miles inland so we are about 10 degrees warmer!
I have always wanted to go to Solvang, I hear it is a really great place to visit! The
price of gas has gone down to $3.99 a gal. Good choice on the restaurant!

Great to "see" you Barbara ..... sounds like you had a great trip.
Over 20 years ago I was a fairly steady visitor to Solvang ......... we military wives from Vandenberg used to go there TO EAT !!

Barbara and Nancy, I watched a program on KPBS with Huell Howser (sp) and he
was in Solvang showing all the sights and the restaurants and bakeries. Wow!
Did it ever look yummy! I would go there just for the food too! lol lol
