What's on my plate today?  This morning I took my bed spread to the laundromat -- it's too big for my washing machine.  It cost $6.75 for the washing machine and 75 cents for the dryer!!!&n

Laundry and another trip to the grocery store I need puppy food and more cabbage,I bought a head yesterday and it never found it's way into my car. This is the third time in the last three weeks that something isn't packed or a large over charge.Last week it was spatulas, paid for but never made it home, the week before that I bought 15 dog chews they were marked 15 for a dollar,I was charged 15 @ 2 for 99cents that's an over charge of about $6.50.I's not the same cashier either, don'tpeople care aout their jobs aymore?

Gale, 2 of my stores will give you the item(s) free if the scanner rings it up wrong.  The first time it happened I went to the courtesy booth with my recipt to report the over charge and the lady handed me back the total amount I had been charged.  When I said I should have only gotten X amount she told me if it scans wrong it is free.
That happened in another store twice.  Most of my stores are careful and do it right.  Once in a while something messes up.
My sister, on the other hand, has one store that is notorious for putting the wrong price on. An example is 2 liter soda on sale for 99 cents.  She buys 3 and 2 ring up at 99 and one at the regular price.  She never leaves that store without looking carefully at her receipt.  They don't gave her the item free though.

The problem with this store is they don't scan ,it's done the old fashion way they have to ring the price and the dept.by hand and some of the girls don't check the sheets with the prices they go by memory. That's really nice that your store gives you the item for free.I'm going to check before I leave from now on.I went the other day and it was all correct.I did get the over charge back on the dog treats and my money back for the cabbage I didn't get.

I went to the local Mennonite Discount Store for a few items. And then off to the kitchen for a day of cooking and baking.

First I went on my usual 3.2 mile walk after breakfast.  Came home to get things ready for my cleaning lady.  Now just waiting until she gets here.  As soon as she comes we will go out to lunch to get out of her way.  My husband leaves this afternoon for a bike ride through the Sonoma wine country tomorrow, so I am on my own for the evening.  I think I will do some baking.

Busy day for me,up for breakfast at a local favorite restaurant of ours,I had eggs over easy, pork chop, hash browns and rye toast with Kona coffee which is so good.Grocery shopping and to the laundro-mat to do our laundry.I just got home and the muffler on the truck went bad,I'm home and My husband and son are getting it replaced.I don't know what's for dinner because I'm not hungry at all, after that big breakfast.Maybe we'll have some watermelon later.

I just took a cake out of the oven.
I am having a house guest arrive sometime tomorrow.  This will be a God Send, my best friend's daughter will be staying with me to sort of help me out with my husband.  I will be able to go and get things done while she stays with him or she can take him out if I have some place to go. I don't know how long this arrangement will last but I have told her she can stay "until I am fed up with her or she is fed up with me".  She will be looking for a job but I figure we can work around whatever work schedule she gets.  To be able to go to a movie or out to lunch with friends will be wonderful.
Keeping my fingers crossed and a prayer that all works out as planned..although we all know what can happen to plans.

Oh, and tomorrow I will introduce her to her first real fresh, not frozen Deep Dish Chicago Style Pizza! Can't wait to see the look on her face!

This morning at 11:30 I'm signed up for a riding clinic.  A lady is coming from NY (her mother lives here) and is giving training sessions.  I let my regular instructor talk me into this, not knowing at the time that it is going to be in the 90's when it is my turn to ride.  I hope we don't expire from the heat.  My horse didn't have a say in the matter.

Nikki,I sure hope this works out for you.You definitely need a break once in awhile. When my Mom was here with me I know just going out in the back and staring at my pond helped me.I average about 2 hours of sleep a night for a year and it was so hard,I had to do all my other things when she was sleeping. The only real break I got was when she was in the hospital.Take care of yourself and God Bless!
