What's on my plate today?  This morning I took my bed spread to the laundromat -- it's too big for my washing machine.  It cost $6.75 for the washing machine and 75 cents for the dryer!!!&n

The rest of the day should be calm, quiet and CHEAP.

What are you doing today?

Wow, guess I haven't used a laundromat for a LONG time. I can't believe the cost for 1 load!

My husband and I are going to our little local Mexican restaurant for dinner tonight and then next door to our little local theatre to see Cabaret.

I just bought a new one, so I guess I don't have to worry about the laundromat for awhile.  Usually I just take mine to the cleaners, and let them deal with it.  Easy but expensive.
Tonight we are going with the extended family to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner, and then we walk over to a large theater in Walnut Creek to watch the dance showcase put on by the dance studio that 2 of my granddaughters attend.  They are both on "teams" that compete with teams from other studios, and are judged by dance professionals.  It is sort of a big deal for them.

I walked around the mall 5 times today! Then got some towels at JCPenney for the
motorhome! They are having some great sales!  Dinner is at home tonight because
hubby has to work Sat., but we will be going out Sat. night for dinner.

Today I cut the grass and did laundry, pick up my son from school, took my other son to baseball practice, and made a lasagna for dinner.

Nancy...

Oh my!  I just put my quilt in a bag to take to the Laundromat...Thanks for the heads up.  I was wondering how much it would cost to get it washed and dried!

Today I got my hair trimmed and did 2 loads of wash.  Wanted to clean my bird cages but something came up.  So I guess I will do that tomorrow after I get done working.

Susan - the cleaning man at the laundromat told me I chose a washing machine TOO BIG  (too big for a bedspread/comforter???).  A smaller one would cost less.  The place had 3 size machines .... he said I should have chosen the middle size.
I don't know ......  I suppose he was correct.  And my spread was a double size - not a queen or king.

And - oh, it was HOT in there -- no A/C at all - just giant fans.  I hope you get some air.

Heading up to SJAFB, Sew What, and Sam's Club.  Laundry, moving furniture into the middle of the living room so that hubby can finish painting (finally) and grilling pork chops for supper.  That's about it....both home and abroad today!

I slep in today (a treat for me).  Now I am gearing up to go to check on my Dad.  Then I will do some paperwork at his business while he is home & go to the grocery store for him later.  He has not recovered from his knee replacement.  He was getting a lot better & then he got a surface infection.  They said it was superficial, but it sure set him back.  But he can go back to PT this week so I am hoping he will be back at least to the prior level if not completely well soon.  Adding to the problems he fell this past Sunday & hit his head.  Fortunately, it was "just" a 4 hour trip to the ER.  No stitches or additional problems.  But it was sure a scary time.

Worked today at the post office for half a day.  I made some home-made ice tea this afternoon and did NOT get the birds done today like I wanted to.  I was really tired when I got home from work, I guess it's partly from not feeling good!

Could not sleep this morning.  Had the window open in the bedroom and the birds woke me up at 4:30 a.m.  Have been up since.  Did wash, cleaning, looked at the newspapers, did the envelopes for Church for us and for my sister in law who is paraplegic and did some other things.  Have to be up at 5:30 tomorrow for Church.
