My favorite flower is a rose.  I like all roses, but I think my favorite is a red rose.

As I said before roses especially red are my favorite.  We've had really good luck with the double "Knock Out" red roses.

I love Roses (Birth flower) and Iris (Mom's favorite)!  I also like Dogwood flowers; interesting flower with the biblical story that they hold!

I also love the Dogwood Story.  My Mom told it to me many years ago.  Also the story about the Sand Dollar. The Sand Dollar is a multi layered one.  The 5 slits on the Sand dollar are the Nail holes in Christ's Hand's Feet and Side.  If I remember right there is a shape on the top of the Sand Dollar that resembles a Cross. Breaking open a Sand Dollar the very center there is a small piece that is shaped like a star.  If you carefully break the star into parts each part is the shape of a dove.

I really love all flowers, such beauty. My favorite color is green and I figured out why.Green is the perfect color,God made stems and leaves green because it goes with every color.I love sitting in my friends back yard and sharing a glass of ice tea, listening to the many birds that visit her yard.In her driveway there is a cast iron arch which wisteria cascades over It leads to her back yard where there are so many beautiful flowers and things to see.She and her husband were both artists. They made beautiful clay objects and some pieces are displayed in her yard. Some of their pieces are also displayed in our art museum.I call her iron arch "The gateway to Heaven" I can't wait until everything is in bloom!

A geranium 10 feet tall !!!!        Golly Carol, did you mean 10 INCHES??

Nancy, No! They are over 10 feet tall. They just keep climbing for the sun.
I have to use the stepladder to get the dead blooms off!! They are in my
star jasmine and oleanders. They climb in between the vines and the
branches until they get to the top. They also spread out. It looks really
funny with white star jasmine and you have a big red bloom of gerianum.
lol lol  They really look pretty.

Nikki...

"The petals shall have bloodstains marked brown,
And in the blossom's center a thorny crown.
All who see it will think of me,
Nailed to a cross from a dogwood tree.
Protected and cherished this tree shall be,
A reflection to all of my agony."

I bought a Sand Dollar when I was a the shore and they also had a postcard with the story about the Sand Dollar.  Of course I bought the postcard because that was the first time I heard of the story.
Also, the Dogwood flower has two short petals and two long petals to represent the sign of the cross.
I think it's all very interesting!

Carol - I have a fuzzy mental picture of star jasmine but not oleander so I looked them up on Bing.  ...
Found lots of photos that I can't get transferred to here.  well, rats.

Roses or orchids.  Some of the most beautiful flowers are orchids.
