My favorite is a rose.  However, they do not have the fragrance that they used to.

I love carnations.  Especially white ones with red edges on the blooms.  But I like most any Spring flower too.

I pretty much love all flowers - I do love the rose, and grow several types of the heirloom varieties, which still have a lovely fragrance.  I also grow orchids (inside) and they have been cascading with blooms all spring.  Pansies, dianthus (sp?), impatiens, daisies, dahlias - I love them all!

I like all roses as well, especially if they still have a strong scent. The new hybrids are created to look pretty and different, but they have sacrificed looks for scent.

I'm also quite fond of lilacs...because of the scent! Went to Illinois to visit my sister 2 years ago and she took me to a park that was filled with over a hundred varieties of lilacs. I never knew there were so many. I was in heaven. lol

I love Iris and used to have quite a few but they have been decimated by Iris Borer.  The ones I have left I don't want to move to my new home so they will stay.

Hydrangeas are also a favorite. They will be moved.

Tree Peony is another and they will be moving soon as well.

I like Lilacs but want to get one of the new varieties, there is a multi color one that I have seen that I will look for.

I think my favorite though is grown more for the foliage and not the flower...I have a "thing" for Hostas.  Can't wait to get them moved!

I love most flowers, but my favorite flower is roses! I have roses that smell good, mini roses, climbing
mini roses, varigated carnations, tulips, birds of paradise, and agapathus(lily of the nile).

I can't have lilies in the house because they are very poisonous to cats.

I remember the beautiful gladiolas that my Dad would plant every year. Forsythia, the first harbinger of Spring.
