 Here where I live It's unusually FREEZING! People here talk about their winter gardens & things and now the talk is about trying to save the plants and how to stay warm. I don't even bother with buying a coat normally And the mandarin and orange crops are going to skyrocket in price 'cause of the damage. I'm stocking up on frozen orange juice and relishing what mandarins I have left.

It's cold where I am too!  The temperature has been dropping and they say we will be lucky if we get out of the teens this coming week.

We've had several cold snaps here in central AR.  The temperatures have been bouncing around all over   It's hard for one's  body to get used to the weather.

it's bouncing here too         more than a wk of winter           buy yesterday and today my a/c/ is running
but it will be in the 40's each morning the rest of the week

Went camping this weekend in the San Diego area. Hubby wanted to for his
birthday. We lucked out. It was in the upper 70's, totally perfect. My Meyers
lemon tree was covered with sheets so the lemons wouldn't freeze last week.
They survived and look great. Some are ripe and the others will take a little
longer.

As expected, it is much colder here today.  High so far is 10 and wind chill is at -9 and there is still lake effect snow in the forcast.  The kids are home from school today.  They didn't want them out in this cold.

Here in RI the high was 23, with an 8 below wind chill factor. I could not get myself warm at work at all today! Snow storm expected on Friday.....welcome to winter! This has been the coldest week yet.

We had a really cold day yesterday.  I think they said the wind chill was about -12 yesterday.  This morning it was about 7 degrees when I left the house but it was also snowing.  Hopefully the weather people are right about tomorrow being warmer.  Almost froze my fingers off last night wandering through the parking garage looking for my car!

Verlee you are getting 75 degrees?? Wow, but now that I think of it yes it's time to be more like Spring. Do you get the 100's like I do here? I hate when it's 100 plus for two or three weeks at a time! Smile You're what we call here "city folk." Many people retire and come here to live in what they think is the country as there is much less cars, people and stores. If I go to a mall it's a bit much for this "country gal!"

not quite normal          but it didn't break any records
we're pretty far down south     and  it happens often

i also hate the 100+ days         we have gone longer than a month straight
i would much rather be cool than hot   and your a/c can only do so much  the man says it will only cool down about 20 degrees  so when it's a hundred   it's almost 80 indoors

in the cold you can put on more layers for help, but believe me you can't ever take off enough to make 80 degrees indoors cool
