How funny!  My cat is always getting into things.  One day he got locked in the closet because it was opened a crack and he got in and when I went by later, I shut the door.   He also got locked in the attic one time.  He just had to investigate when I was getting something out.  Luckily, I found him shortly after he got locked in.

Pat, I also wondered about that heavy drawer somehow being open a bit...... It's completely empty and I never, ever open it - maybe I bumped it some how?  Anyhow - I made certain it was now closed tight ...... No avail - they popped it open again in no time.
Tongue outAnd I still think it's impossible..Tongue out.. completely impossible.Tongue out

Debbie -- my two little monsters were always locking themselves in a bathroom ..... In there they rolled around, played and chased something until they slammed the door shut.  Now the "locks" on the doors and the door jambs are taped.
LOL LOL  -- what a mess my bathrooms are ..... tape all over the locks and the tissue in a coffee can!!

As I mentioned before, my daughter's cat, Spike, is a terror. This morning after I gave him some treats he got on the back of the sofa where I was reading and indicated that he wanted me to pet him. I was petting him and he was purring, and true to form, he decided that it was enough and grabbed my arm in his mouth (gently though I wasn't going to continue). I learned from my daught that you don't try to pull away, but push gently into their mouth so they know that you are prey and try to bite harder! Spike the dark prince!!!

In Response to Re: Want some cats??:
"Want some cats?"   Like you would EVER part with them!  LOL  It is amazing the things they can get into.  My guess is the drawer was open a tiny crack.  So naturally, they had to see if their paws could "find" anything inside.  Once the paw went in, the "crack" widened & then it was an open invitation.

That would be my guess also.  They love putting a paw in to "feel" what might be in there.

Once they know it can be "opened" you would be amazed how creative they can be to get inside something again.  It is a fun game to get
it to open again! LOL

lol lol lol ---- they absolutely LOVE to see what's under the bedroom dresser and work so hard trying to get behind it.  That's too heavy for them so I help.  I remove the bottom drawer, set that in the middle of the bedroom floor and let them play behind and under the dresser
..... and go nuts playing in the drawer.

Nancy - I never thought about putting tape on the locks.  We try to keep an eye on him now, but if he keeps getting locked in places, I may have to consider it.

Probably why the term "Curiosity killed the cat" came to be.
They are incredible creatures..just when you think you have them figured out they throw you a curve.

And this evening when I walked in the door from my little shopping trip, both of them were there to greet me - full of joy and happiness.
What could be better than that?
