Yikes , I'm turning 50 on May 30th.

When I was a kid we always had a cookout on my birthday because of the holiday.My mom use to make me an angel food cake.I told her to make me that because my grandpa loved that cake. I miss those cookouts. Some of the people have passed on, new ones added. All the good memories of the people the fun....Smelling the burgers and dogs cooking on the grill.
It's been a crazy year for me. I told them I do not want anything.just trying to focus on my son's wedding and my health....I wanted to wish everyone a happy Memorial day and to thank to all the men and woman that served our country. To all the people that are gone but live in our memories..Thank you.

Turning 50? Hey you are just a kid!. You have a lot in front of you and much to enjoy. I turn 73 next month and I'm still going pretty strong....I just move a little slower than I used to. Enjoy your milestone and look forward to the next times in your life. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

50 !!! Hate to tell you kid...50 is easy!
So is 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, and so far 57...except for moving but I guess that doesn't count.

I truly believe that OUR 50 is much different than our parents 50 and much more different than our grandparents 50.

Enjoy your day..have fun..remember that everyday on this side of the turf is a good one.
You are only as old as you feel.
Age is just a number.
And any other of the sayings that fit.
Enjoy life, great every day with a smile and an exuberance for life. It wont let you down.

Happy Birthday Julie! I don't mind my birthdays, just another day. But I freak out when I realize how old my kids are getting LOL. Btw, we'll be celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary the same day as your birthday, now that is scary LOL!

Hello everyone,
My family gave me a surprise party yesterday. i thaught I was bring my son Mark to a friends party.Instead it was my own. Was at Mark's game for 2 hrs in the sun..He is in a rush. I told him i need to wash up, do my hair....It was great. Lots of old friends, family. The place was packed. I 'm the one that does all the parties. It was nice to sit back and relax. My older son kyle made baked ziti, 1st tiome he ever cooked. that was the bigger shocker.
Thank you for all the well wishes. My 30th anniversary is this year october.Happy anniversary H.W. It is also my in laws anniversary 65 yrs.my god child b'day, and 3 friends. crazy.......thanks for all the loving to all.......have a wonderful week.....going to dad's grave to place a flag...missed him much at the party..

I understand about missing family! I turned 53 and went back to school and earned an associate degree. I wish the people who had instilled the importance of education were around to congradulate me. For our celebration there would have been homemade ice cream & lots of hugs!
