Yikes , I'm turning 50 on May 30th.

When I was a kid we always had a cookout on my birthday because of the holiday.My mom use to make me an angel food cake.I told her to make me that because my grandpa loved that cake. I miss those cookouts. Some of the people have passed on, new ones added. All the good memories of the people the fun....Smelling the burgers and dogs cooking on the grill.
It's been a crazy year for me. I told them I do not want anything.just trying to focus on my son's wedding and my health....I wanted to wish everyone a happy Memorial day and to thank to all the men and woman that served our country. To all the people that are gone but live in our memories..Thank you.

Hope you had a great birthday and someone made you a cake Julie. I always thought it wasn't a birthday unless I had a cake. I had my 50th birthday 20 odd years ago. I had to go visit my parents in CA to get a birthday cake. My mother made my cake for my 70th birthday. I don't think many people can say that.
