Watching a bit on the Weather Channel right now.
From what I understand the Tsunami warning system is pretty good.  But I have been to some on the Islands once and I can not imagine how difficult it is to evacuate the costal areas.  Much like the chaos I imagine it is during a hurricane evacuation in Florida, Texas or any other costal area.
They just reported that 200-300 bodies have been found.  My heart just broke a bit.

I believe the earthquake hit Japan and now Hawaii is getting the tsunami caused by the earthquake.  Wonder how the other nations in the South Pacific area are holding up.

They are on tsunami alert in northern California and we in southern California are on tsunami watch. They cleared everyone out of the water along the beaches because the waves are supposed to be treacherous. And yes, when I heard of the earthquake and tsunami this morning, I immediately started praying for everyone's protection and guidance to safety.

It is amazing how nature works and it is terrible that this has happened.  I hope the worst is over and that everyone on the west coast has enough warning to get to a safe place.

There has been millions of dollars damage to Crescent City and Santa Cruz here in California. Thankfully evacuations started early and most everyone is safe. The surges from the wave continue, but it seems like the worst is mostly past.

May God bless all those affected by this earthquake and all that goes with it.  Mother Nature has a real mean streak lately.
