Last night on the news, they said that they will make a decision to postpone Trick or Treating to either Saturday or Sunday, and would announce their decision on the Noon News.  It has been raining lightly since last night, and it is supposed to tensify this afternoon with high winds.  I think it would be wise if they move it to the weekend, for the safety of the children.

Sorry about the rainy weather, folks. We here in California have 75 degrees and I expect at least 75 "guests" tonight!

oh,no      verlee ,          don't be sorry for me
after 5 solid years of drought   I want every drop that falls
we are still borderline severe    so far I've had almost 8 inches total 2 days       but so far today it's been coming down more evenly      so the standing water is subsiding

By the time I got home tonight I think most of the kids had come and gone already.  But I was still in the garage when a big group of about a dozen came so I gave each a handful just to get rid of the candy(for which my backside and hips will be grateful lol).  I left the lights on but nobody else came after that.

Getting really windy here and still raining like it has most of the day.

We are visiting our daughter who lives in Laguna Beach, CA. Her two older kids are away at college, but she has a middle school daughter still at home. The city put on a party for middle and high school ages complete with a DJ. They closed down a street and everyone on the street decorated their homes and gave out candy. There were lots of parents to see that every thing went well, and it all ended at 9:30.

We were in charge at their home to give out candy, but all we had was a dog who came with his owner, ( we gave him a dog treat) and a neighbor who had lots of candy, and no kids came, so he was giving out his candy to neighbors. We traded candy with him!

It rained at my house the entire time the kids were out trick or treating, but it didn't stop them from coming out.  I had at least 112 kids.

We live out in the country and have for 33 years.  Never had a single kid for trick or treating.
