I can't believe it has been ten years either.  It doesn't seem like it was that long ago.  This is truely a day to remember what happened that day and those who lost their lives.

In the PARADE section of our paper was an article highlighting several service projects that are ongoing as tributes to persons who died in the twin towers.  Out of tragedy has come healing, comfort and good far beyond the hatred which tried to destroy us.
Americans will always try to bring good to others even when some forces are bent on destroying us.
May we never forget the lessons of unselfish service which is our strength as a nation.

Renee and Verlee...

Would you please say THANK YOU! to your husband and son for fighting for our country and our freedom.  A lot of people do not think or realize how all this affects them as an individual.  My husband (Marine) fought in Vietnam, lived in a hole everyday, had to sweep villages, jungles, leaches and being shot at.   When they get home, this takes a toll on them mentally and physically.  So it is a huge sacrifice our military men and women face every day.

Thank you to all our military men and women...God Bless you all!

This is on a Prayer Card:
\
REMEMBRANCE PRAYER

Tenth Anniversary of September 11th

Mary, Patroness of the United States,
keep us in your heart as we remember
the anniversary of the September 11th attacks
on our great nations.
We remember our brothers and sisters
who died that day, leaving behind
family and friends who mourned their
sudden passing.
Help them to find comfort in your arms
and in the everlasting grace of God.
We pray that they know that their loved ones
will live forever in God's presence and
share in His eternal life.
Amen.

I thought I would share it with you.

I can't help but think that those that thought we would be brought to our knees were right in one respect...We are kneeling in unity and thanking God for a wonderful country and despite our problems we are all family.  I guess that is what family really is anyway you love and protect each other when someone tries to attack the family you rally together.

Being in NY is very hard on this day.  Most who worked downtown still experience/remember the day is if it's this year not 10 years ago.  All involved must've worked hard to make the anniversary special & include families. I'm not thrilled they're re-building high or higher than before.  Makes no sense if fireman can't get to you to help, why build that high?

A big "THANK YOU" and "GOD BLESS"  to all the men and women who keep this country safe for all of us.  Whether they are military, police, fire, or paramedics they put their lives on the line every day.  God bless America!

Did anyone watch CSI-New York on Friday?  That was about the Ten Year Anniversary of 9/11 and it was very touching.
