Thank you Gale for such a timely reminder.
We all lost something great on 9/11 - let's keep praying to get it back.

It is hard to believe that it has been 10 years.
So much has happened in such a short time.
"We" lost a bit of innocence on that day.
Many brave men and women gave their lives doing what they were trained to do. Since then many more have given their lives over seas and unfortunately here on our soil in other senseless acts of terrorism.
Two days a year are set aside to honor service people, Veterans day and Memorial day, we should always remember that the other 363 days we need to say our thanks as well.  There should also be days set aside to honor current and fallen officers and firefighters as well.
God Bless and let us all have a moment tomorrow to reflect.
But let us also remember how resilient we are as a country and give thanks for that as well.

This is the best country in the world as far as I am concerned.  Yes, we have problems and issues.  But there is nowhere on earth I would rather live.  It is the people like the soldiers, firefighters and police officers who help keep us safe.  I Thank God for all of them and their perserverence in protecting us.  I know they get special rewards for their service when they pass on.
God Bless America!

Wow, ten years, it doesn't seem possible.  Although I love America, I don't think we are in any better shape to protect ourselves.

I will never forget that day and I can remember as if it just happened!  Just horrible!  So many innocent people, just going about there day as they do every day.  Who would of thought!  How dare they come into the USA and do such a terrible act!  This affected all Americans; I pray that this never happens again!  Prayers for those who lost there lives, families that lost loved ones and the many people that sacrificed there life to help there fellow Americans.

God Bless America!

Strange but true.  When the towers were hit I overheard a lady state" that she was going home, eat lunch and hide in the basement."
Every nine eleven I wonder if she is still hiding in the basement?

Gale, The flags are awesome! Well Done!! It doesn't seem like
it was 10 years ago. I've watched so many programs on TV the
last 2 weeks of 9/11. It affected so many people and so many
lives were lost. Now so many of the people that worked at
ground zero have so many serious health problems and many
have died!! I will continue to pray for anyone who was affected
by 9/11.  God Bless America!!!

Gale,
We think alike. I can't see anything related to 9/11 without crying. I remember the smell as you passed NYC on the parkway after the devastation. We Americans will survive as we did against the Japanese who bombed Pearl Harbor, the German's with their concentration camps that housed not only Jews, but those who sought to protect and speak out for the Jews. I cannot understand Michael Bloomberg's stand on no religious ceremony and no first responders at the memorial. Have we gone nuts??? Where is the compassion and understanding and fellowship that was there 10 years ago. It seems that too many of us have short memories. Thanks for reminding us and yes, GOD BLESS THE USA!!!

Amen!  As I sit here and read the other responses my husband is serving our country as a member of the United States Air Force. I thank those who put their lives on the line for my freedoms every single day.  I also thank those families who have lost a loved one because of terroism.  God Bless the men and women who step up each day to keep us safe and free!! God Bless the United States of America today and every day!!

Today is 9/11, may we all know that freedom isn"t free and remember all those lost on that day and their family and friends.  Our country isn"t perfect, but it the only place I would want to live.  All of us need to strive to make it better.  GOD bless all of those lost, all of us and this great country.  Long may she perservere to continue to lead and only get better.

Renee - next time you see your husband, please give him a BIG hug from we who admire and respect his work.
With the bad memories this is a difficult day for all of us and we know we're protected by men and women like him.
God Bless the USA
