Not sure what the outcome will be, Mary Ann. I'm just praying that after the election our country will get back on track again! The past couple of years it seems like we've been on a downward spiral. Sad!
I am continuing to pray each day for our government, our officials, and everyone...even if I quite often disagree with what they are doing. They need our many prayers as they fulfill their jobs in running our government. Just wish they'd listen to us....the people....more often! Smile
Cooking? Well, we are going to have a quick lunch and then go to vote. Tonight will probably be mac and cheese.....homemade, of course!!!
Smile

Let's hope whoever wins the election has some common sense and uses it!   For dinner tonight I made lemon-pepper chicken and pan-roasted hominy.  Comfort food LOL.

I voted this morning.  My husband voted by absentee ballot.

Tonight for supper we had salmon, oven browned potatoes and a vegetable.

I never discuss politics with friends or family. It can really start a feud so, I keep my opinion on who to vote for to myself.

We voted early, but were happy to see that there was a high voting presence. We need to take back our country and not leave our children and grandchildren in debt. We ate baked ziti.

I was pleased to see that in Virginia there was a 76% voter turn out.  Voting is a right and a privilege.  More people need to step up and be counted.  I didn't cook, we ate leftovers.

I voted but I was hoping that the election would be a run away as it would help get the county on the right track. We just had breakfast for dinner tonight.

Unfortunately, the Senate isn't ours yet, but let's hope the House can help to reverse some of the damage that has been done. I pray for our country every day. Let us not forget to keep the momentum and get out to vote enmass in 2 years. We must let the legislators know that they work for us. I was sorry that the cap on spending wasn't passed, but, like in the "Moon Landing" one small step for man and a giant leap for mankind!!!

I agree with so much that's been posted here.  God bless you.
And let's remember to keep praying and work harder during the next two years.

Maxine, how right you are! They are usually the first to complain about anything and everything!! I think if they don't want to take advantage of their privilege and right to vote in our free (so far) country, they should sit down and shut up! Maybe I should be more polite and say "be quiet" instead of shut up, but those people can be very irritating with their constant complaining!

And I totally agree with Nancy and Angela.....we need to continually keep praying for our country and our government.....even for those running it that we don't care for! And we do need to get out there in momentum in 2012 when hopefully we will gain more control and get things back in shape so we can stay a free country!!

Millie, I encountered some tea party people at our local county fair this past summer where they had a booth and I found them to be fighting for the middle to low class people. Maybe they are different in different areas.....you think?
