When you change the clocks remember to change batteries in smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors as well.

Thanks for the reminder Mary Ann.  Will have to change all the clocks except one, the one in my car.  I never fixed it when we went to daylight saving time lol.

Somewhere - I can't remember - I bought a big, plain, battery wall clock that changes itself.  Incredible.  I've looked and looked trying to find others like it and I can't.  If I ask in a store (like Lowe's) they look at me like I'm nuts.   I'd give a lot to have clocks that do it by themselves.

Thanks for the reminder! I also change smoke alarm/carbon monoxide batteries at that time!

I'll have to remind my next door neighbors .... Several months ago she was very unhappy because one of her smoke detectors was beeping and driving her nuts.  She was shocked when I said it needed a new battery.  They've lived there almost 3 years and have never changed a battery!!
I got my ladder and changed them.  Now I'll just remind them.
It's a good thing to remind anyone - any age.
Thanks again Mary Ann.

And this time change is a little later now than it was 2 years ago, when they moved it out of October. And we just learned from the company that makes our smoke alarms that they should be replaced after 10 years. The accumulation of dust and just plain age makes them nearly non-functioning.

It may best to change yours clocks back 1 hour before you go to bed this Saturday night so any church plans Sunday morning aren't  upset.

I have 2 of the "Smart Set" alarm clock radios in the bedroom.  Problem is they are older and they have been programed to change.  I reset them last weekend...after getting up late  :)
My husband does not need the clock anymore but I leave it on his night stand. (I figure the more normal things are the less it will upset him.)
I would like to get a new one that will set itself at the proper time....no pun intended.
I also need a wall clock for the kitchen and I would like to get one that sets itself.  Strange to say I need a clock for the kitchen it seems every appliance in the kitchen has a clock but none are large enough to see from across the room.

when i was at   kohl's last week they had some boxed gift sets that included things like weather stations and   "atomic" clocks    all battery           that is what you need to look for     nancy  and nikki
you could probably find a good selection on-line to give you an idea where to look

that's the kind of thing that comes out near christmas for gifts               drugstores    walmart  target
sam's      or like ace hardware   all have selections       of these types of things         but they won't be where you would normally look for them in the store           at walmart say   they have most of them in the jewelry dept

also those mailer books like    harriet carter

I figure the prices on the "atomic" clocks will come down for the holidays.  I could not imagine getting any other clock than one that will re set.  I hate running around changing all the clocks..... Ok, so I don't run around but it is still nuisance to have to change them all......
It is nice that the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are wired so I don't have to climb a ladder to change those. I hate ladders!

At least we don't have to worry about computers or smart phones.  My husband goes around on Saturday night and changes everything, as well as smoke alarm batteries.  Then the next weekend we have to go to our condo at Tahoe and do the same thing.  Also don't forget the CO2 detector batteries!!!  We go through a lot of batteries.  Luckily we buy them in bulk at Costco.
