In Response to Re: TGIF WHAT WILLYOU BE DOING ON FRIDAY? HOW will you spend the day?:
GRANA here; As I've written before; we do not do"Black Friday " shopping;it's either already been bought or gift certs will be sent. NoBIG sales adertised inN.H. A cardealeris holding ten dayblack friday sale: lowinterst;lowprices& low lease cost lease deals w/no money down( to very well qulified buyers) Massechusettes( just south of our cityty; things were rough & wild. those locals who did shop today( began @ mdnight last night: />>> A Wallmart in Massechusettes advertised their black friday sale to starts @ 10PM.(Thursday) Massechusettes has Bluelaws ( no stores open on Sundays or holidays) , making that against the law & barred access to the store. Those shopers showing up early, got angry; resisted & several ended up in jail,In anotherMass. town, A woman showed up w/a can of of pepper spray. When she got to the display of what she wanted , she used the spray to get other shoppers to move away. She ended up in jail & some shoppers ended u in the ospital ER for eye injuries& lung problems >>>> Another ncident had a man shooting a gun wildly to get access o the electronic games once the box was open & available. A man trired to hold up aconvenience store. He held a customer at knife point.Theowner-clerk beat him up w/a broom handle .The theif got away; the customer was not injured; but I've no doubt not want to go shopping again for a very long time! >>>> A young family ( parents & a4yo girl were shopping for groceries. I guess the child got hungry. She opened up a pkg. of dried apricots ate a few & returned the pkg to the shelf; un-noticed by all except the security guard; who treated her like a bank robber., knocking her to theground & yelling gruffly at her.The surprised parents apologized & offered to pay for the pkg of apricots but the amed guard insisted that the child( who can neither ead or write & si gn a confession & be banned rom that store " forever" The police were called;the store manager accepted payment for theoened kg. Thechild efuses to talk is crying non-stop. I hope this craziness was limitted to only that one stateate. I hate to think that holiday shopping has driven us all insane : gun shootingting, pepper spray use & terrifying & roughing up a toddler. Any horror stories like these in your area o the country? I hope not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The more I think about this story, the more upset it makes me! Oh my! big vigilant security guard! Pouncing on a toddler! Instead of notifying the parents to have a "teachable moment" He made a completly unnecessary scene. I would never shop at that store again and would request my friends, nieghbors and family to boycot that store also.
Did the guard feel very important nabbing that shoplifter? That shoplifter almost got away with major merchandise!
The child needs to learn that wasn't right but good grief!
I hope that wasn't any of the stores I would be shopping...
