Hi everyone,
I know I've been gone for a while. We have been busy traveling. We went from Florida, through the south to Reno, NV. We were in rainstorms, threatened Tornados in Kansas, to wet snow in the mountains etc. We saw the deer and elk standing out in the Wyoming Range, I saw a wolf standing over a hole that must have contained a mouse, rabbit or other prey. The mountains were beautiful, the plains expansive, some oasis of beauty in Utah. Gas prices fluctuated. After spending time with my daughter and family in Reno. We headed for NY with one of my granddaughters.  As some of you may know, we spend some time in NY, before heading to Florida. The trip to NY across the top of the country was just as interesting. We really are blessed with such a beautiful country! How is everyone "weathering" the now summer days?

Sounds like you had a wonderful vacation.  We went to Colorado and saw the Rocky Mountains,  South Dakota and saw Mr. Rushmore
and saw Wyoming too.  It was beautiful.

Glad to hear you both had great vacations.  Unfortunately, no vacations for us in the forseeable future due to illness.   Can't go too far from home when you never know what might happen.

Happy to have someone respond. I know that some people cannot travel, but it is good to hear from some. I was so impresed with seeing our country and will try to do it again, but not as much traveling and a little more sightseeing.

We were in Hot Springs, AR for 10 days.  Our family visited for the week of the 4th and then some some friends came for a couple of days.  Time to  get back to our regular schedule.

No plans for this summer......too many doctor appointments......don't have enough days in a row without an appointment to allow any vacation time.  This happens when two OLD married people have lived together for over 55 years!

Darla. I can relate.  We also have had our fill of Dr. appointments, hospital visits, and other health related stuff.  We have been married 53 years, so we are both old.   However, I really don't feel that old,  in my head I'm a lot younger.   We are going to get away in September for 10 days on Maui.  Needless to say we are really looking forward to that.  Just hope that health issues don't get in the way!!!

Barbara, I think we all feel younger in our heads than we really are.
At least I feel that way as well.
We went to Hawaii about 7 years ago, before my husbands diagnosis, and it was wonderful.  I do hope you have a great time.

When I quit working I thought that my days of living by a schedule and a calendar were over. WRONG!! anyone that has medical problems has a calendar that is filled with appointments for Dr visits, notes for the Dr, Therapy visits, and everything else that you can squeeze in.

In October, we'll head off to AZ to visit our second daughter for a week.  Don't get to see the grandchildren often with them living so far away from  us.  We go every other year, if at all possible.  Since we lost our oldest daughter in January, I'm determined that we'll be there again this year.  We never know what is around the corner.

We love to travel and will head back to PA in September for a class reunion.  Not many attend any more and I've missed the last two, so it is time to go, again.

Angela, your trip sounds like it was wonderful.  We've traveled a few places overseas and I believe America is the most beautiful place I've ever been.

Seems like you had a marvelous time! We will be going back to my home town twice next month. I have my 20 year class reuinion and my family reunion within the first two weeks in August. It is nothing compared to your vacation, but I am still excited to see old friends and family again.

Hi everyone,
I was happy to receive your responses. Yes we did take some pictures, but we have not downloaded them yet. When I get them done, if they aren't all blurry from taking them from an RV driving at 60 MPH, I will post 1 or 2. We did take some still too. Will keep you posted. Sorry so many of you are too ill to travel. Maybe, those of us who can still travel can relate our experiences and you can go on a virtual tour!
