Sugar in smaller bags, narrow toilet paper now they are going to market toilet paper without cardboard rolls in the center. Going to "save the planet" by eliminating the cardboard. When was the last time any one was able to buy a 1/2 gallon ofice cream. Ice cream packaging is getting smaller and smaller. Want to try something interesting, take 2 containers of ice cream, one a "bargain" brand and one a "premium" quality, bring them to the produce section and place the bargain one on a scale and note the weight, place the premium one on the scale and notice how much heavier it is. All the air they whip into the bargain one is amazing. And we pay for all that air.OK I just scared myself I have officially turned into my parents!
I know, it's only a matter of time till it just becomes the norm, less for more
Good for you, Maxine!! I guess we have to use any recourse we have. As to the ice cream a couple of weeks ago I found a package that said 20% more.....guess what It still did not contain 1/2 gal. It was Dreyer's or Edy's on the east coast. Up until recently we were able to get the sugar in 5 lb packages. We get C&H sugar here as we are in California. Actually, i usually buy my sugar at Costco where I can get it in 10 lb packages! (and it costs less than in the regular super markets)
