I will be traveling to the K.C., Mo. area shortly.  A friend, originally from Iowa, asked me to bring her back some Sterzings Potato Chips if they come down that far. Is there anyone on here tha

Sterzings Potato Chips

I will be traveling to the K.C., Mo. area shortly.  A friend, originally from Iowa, asked me to bring her back some Sterzings Potato Chips if they come down that far.

Is there anyone on here that might be from that area and could tell me if any of the grocery stores carry them in K.C.?

Sterzing's potato chips also can be found in every Hy-Vee grocery store in the chain, and in Casey's and Kum & Go convenience stores.

I am not familar with Casey's or Kum and Go stores, but I am very familar with Hy-Vee stores.  There is a store very close to where I will be staying, so I will make sure I go into it for the chips.  Thanks again!

Hi Verlee. 
I'm sorry, but I've never tasted Sterzings Potato Chips, so I do not know if they are similar to Charlie's Chips.
I guess if I can buy some at Hy-vee, as Maxie says, I'll have to get a bag for myself and just try them out.  LOL.  Maybe I'll end up bringing some back for not only my friend, but for DH and myself.

we have a Caseys store in our town but have never tried the chips.
I am going to buy some and see if my family likes them.

Isn't it amazing.. The things that you can't get always seem to taste better than the things you can get easily.
Another reason I like to "tour" grocery stores when I am on vacation.

Sorry, never heard of them.  Must be a local brand since I know I've never seen them here in Illinois.  I don't eat potato chips(because I can't eat just one lol) but I buy them for my husband every once in a while.

If you get the opportunity to try the Sterzings Chips, I'd be very interested in hearing what you honestly think of them.  Thanks! 
Even if I don't buy any for myself, if I can get my hands on some at Hy-Vee's, I will bring my friend back 2 or 3 bags.

Hey Nikki, I too love to check out grocery stores where ever I travel.  I always come back with something that I don't see in the stores here.  The best thing is that my DH loves to also!  We never take a road trip without a cooler!

H.M., I never hear of Sterzings Potato Chips either, until yesterday when my friend had this request.
Born and raised in Michigan, I don't recall seeing them there.  I've lived in Florida now 29 years, and I know we don't have them here.

When I was a kid my sister and I lived in Connecticut and we had Wise potato chips and I think I recall ther was State Line potato chips.
I don't eat chips a lot because like others...I can't eat just one... but I like the kettle cooked chips the best and Krunchers had a Salt and Vinegar that was very good.  I have been sticking with Stacy's Pita Chips, I tell myself they are healthier. I don't have them very often either.

For years the company has sent free potato chips to soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq, charging only the cost of shipping. A picture in the facility has a soldier pointing a gun at a bag of Sterzing's along with a sign reading, "Try to take my Sterzing's."
