the punishment phase should go to the jury today------------hopefully he will get life------------i couldn't believe it took 3 days for this phase--------------all of his children testified for him------------about how they will miss him if he has to go away-----------------------his stepson admitted that some of the testimony about his treatment of them was true----------including the hitting of genitals---------------but that was just a "game" they played to help them bond?

Please be careful Nellie.  Sounds like those brothers are all nuts and with one still running around who knows what he might do.  I pray that you and all your neighbors will be safe and that the police get that last criminal before he does any more harm.

So Sad it is a shame when we have to live like this anymore. I never had a fear
of anything  or anyone when I was growing up but the world is changing.

I'll be tuning into this show tonight. We had a similar thing happen here in Cleveland. It involved a Fireman. He was agitated by his neighbors for years he begged them to stop and one night they were making a lot of noise he went over and asked them to stop they didn't so he went home and returned with a gun and killed three people and wounded 2 others. The Fireman is in jail.

Just heard on the news here that a man that abducted and killed a little girl in the '50's was just found guilty of the murder.  (Sycamore, Illinois) I think they said that was the oldest cold case they had.

I also will be watching ABC tonight.  Thanks for the info.

After seeing this I would have to say murder. He went there to cause a problem. The guys just came out to see what he was doing in their driveway. This is a shame now this woman, his wife and child are left without a husband and father. He gets to spent the next 40 years in prison, might as well say life,if he gets out he'll be an old man. What makes people justify these crimes in their mind.?

i was surprised at how loud the music was in this production     having seen the video numerous times on local stations it was never that blaring
as i said earlier my son's house is just as close as this man's was   and they did not hear it
my g.s. was at the party until about 11:30
the victim played with a local band and his brother is one of Pat Green's guitarists
in fact Pat Green has held two benefit concerts for them
so music was a big part of their lives           but he didn't deserve to die for it

Nellie, Thank God your grandson wasn't there when this happened. There could have been a tragedy in your family. My son was a manager at SUBWAY for ten years. One year about a week before Christmas he was held up at gun point.he was told along with the other guy that was working to get into the back room and stay there or he was going to kill both of them.He took their cell phones and tore the store phone wires out.Luckily he took the money out of the register and left and none was hurt. That's not a good feeling to have a loaded gun pointed at you.It really doesn't matter how loud that music was that doesn't give someone the right to point a loaded gun at a person and then shoot and kill one and injure two more. The case here in Cleveland was similar but they were just antagonizing the fireman and he snapped and started shooting,BUT THAT DOESN'T GIVE SOMEONE THE RIGHT TO KILL PEOPLE ! Now if someone comes into your home while you are home, well I think that is a different story. I would feel threatened and I would shoot if I asked them to leave and they wouldn't.

It sounds like he had been a problem in the neighborhood for quite a while.

actually they only interviewed a couple of people and there were many more at the trial
and much more about abuse of his children (he called it tough love) his back door neighbor never went outside without taking his gun , after he said something to him after seeing him knock one son down
he pulled his gun and told him to mind his own business and go back in his house
a lot of complaints were made to police about him but  he never got in trouble

what did you think about the woman who led off the show?            now, i founf that really hard to believe that anyone would act like that
and the judge that keyed the car was here in houston
