I had read a response earlier from VBB that they were thinking of having people "purchase" items with their points - haven't seen anything about it since....

I like the idea of "cashing" in the points for coupons for free food items, etc., such as bags of chocolate chips.

Maybe if we keep "suggesting" it, we will get pleasing results. I would love to use the points for baking or food items. Or even GASOLINE!

I know it sounds greedy, and I just enjoy communicating with other bakers, but why points? My daughter is also a verybestbaker and asked the same question.

I love the idea of "cashing in" our points - although I doubt they will give us gasoline as one of the choices...

Hi MILLIE B;Currently, my points range e from 14K+K to 93+K [K = thousand) depending on the site gremlin's mood at any given time.;Till today I had thought only of accumulating points to see how many I could get before the site crashed I lost all my points again.You have made me think seriously
about it & I came up w/ this: a catalog from which we coould choose items( handy kitchenitems/ gadgets, potholders,hot pads table linens, sering pieces, cookie press/gun; cakepans cookiesheets; thingswecan all use in our baking experience.;Nestle's (product) coupons even gasoline credits as a goal , I think the clever people@ VBB could come up w/some very nice catalogitems for us to claim/redeem w/ourpoints.If asked,I've no oubt we members, could come up w/ some good suggestions for "prizes"
A "CONCERN": If our points actually had a value; losing them in "site glitches" would be a traumatic & stressfull ordeal.Do wereally want to add this feature before the problem of lost points(glitches) is solved& eliminated?????????

I,m new here so I don't have them many points at all I'm still trying to accumalate a bunch of them it would be wonderful if something was in place that allowed us to spend the points. There are a lot of great ideas hear.

Hopefully VBB won't keep us all in suspense forever, although it seems that way already lol. Maybe they'll come up with a catalogue of gift cards, something we all could use to buy more baking supplies or gas to get to the store lol.

I am just happy to have a great forum to pick up ideas and recipes and pass on recipes and ideas.
I have met great friends and for me that is all I really need.
Now if I could turn the points in to pay on the mortgage I now have that would be nice. Since I seriously doubt that will ever happen I don't worry about the outcome of the points I have. (Other than to wonder what I could have accomplished had I been doing something constructive rather than sitting here at the computer!)

This site is wonderful for great people, fun and ideas. Why worry about the points?
All other sites I visit have no point system and it's never missed.
