In fact, I haven't seen Gale for a few days and I hope all is well with her!

Connie...That is great news about your daughter, CONGRATS, but I am sorry to hear about the loss of your sister.

Renee...What wonderful news about your sister...God answers all prayers and helps all those in need!

Gus...Way to go and married life is wonderful!

I will put those in need on my prayer list! I must say, this is wonderful how we all reach out for those in need. I sure have met such nice and caring people on this site.

Preston...Have fun skiing...be safe!

Where are you? We are worried about you. I have not seen a post from you in sometime.I hope you are on a nice vacation Carol.I love reading your post. You have a way of cheering up people. I hope you are okay my friend.

I agree...i have some exciting news...the docs told my younger daughter that it was close to impossible for her to have a baby..found out yesterday she is about 4 or 5 weeks along (hasnt had her first OB appointment) so no due date yet..will keep updating as time goes on

Hello,
I"am back.I had a sking accident.I consider myself a great skier. I was taken out by another skier acting foolish.He took down 2 of us.I tore up my knee, ankle and took 12 stiches in the face.I am on a short leave from teaching.The silver lining of the entire ordeal was I met someone. She came to the aid of the hurt skiers.She is a doctor, real smart, fun and cute.She stayed with us until they could remove us off the slopes.
Not the smartest way to get a vacation.I should be back to teaching real soon.I won't be sking for sometime.Just checking in with my friends.

Preston- I was wondering where you were. Wow, all I have to say is thank God for the silver lining. Hunter was going sking as well.He has not checked in as of yet.

My son and his friends all returned home from sking in one piece.I was a wreck.One of them lost control coming down, he regained control. The video was rather scary. Hope you are back to school real soon. Im sure the students miss you.You seem like a cool teacher.Good luck with the silver lining the doctor.Glad to hear from you.Thanks for checking in Preston.Yikes

No one has asked the important question.....Did you get her number? Never can tell when you will need a doctor..
In all seriousness I hope you are OK and will mend quickly.
I have often said if God wanted me to ski he would have made my feet 3 inches wide and 3 feet long. I value my limbs far to much to try at my age. It's a long way to the ground and I don't mend as quickly as I did when I was younger. (If I feel this way in my 50's I can just imagine how I'll feel in 10 or 15 years!)

hmmmmmm 50 + 15 = 65.
I'm still older than that. Is that why I get sick at the thought of skiing?

this should make you all laugh.i made it through my ski trip,no scratches.perfect runs.iam going into the lodge,someone opens a door right into my face...broke my nose,skis slammed into my face,i have a gash from my left forehead ,across nose (broken).and across my lip. there was blood everywhere.
preston you lucky dog meeting a pretty doctor.i had two guys working on my face.my face is all black and blue.my friends do not believe it was a door.maybe i should say i hit the tree.glad your okay.it is great fun skiing.real dangerous.it was nothing compared to the door.i would laugh but it hurts.iam going again this weekend.tons of snow. i was going to post it ,could not find it until i saw prestons post. stay in touch

May you both should post where you were skiing so we can warn others about the dangers there. I don't think I would go back to the same spot.

Nancy, I would loved to have been able to ski. The closest I have come is skate boarding with my kids and once in a great while, my grandkids and great grandkids. I love skateboarding and I am in my 60s. Wish I was as limber as I used to be.
