If you are near a Lowe's Market or a Harris Teeter Store check to see if either store is having triple coupon time or Super Double coupon time for the next week.

Wow, Maxine.  That's a great price for sugar.  I think mine is good deal when  4# bag (no 5# bags in this area) is $1.48.  I only shop sale items and don't buy unnecessary stuff, like soda, chips and other "junk" foods that are mainly empty calories.  Store brand items are usually cheaper and if one had Aldi's in the area, usually their canned goods are a pretty good deal.

GRANA here;
 Doing allthe same things but it's more difficult to save ve on grocery bills since  everyone else is buying marked down meats,poduce& baked goods and manufacturers are less generous/more stingy w/ coupons these days;.....
Still cutting portion sizes, eating less meats, using shell eggs instead if the cholesterol free eggs. I remove the yolk   combine w/  a no cholesterlo egg product for baking&  omelet wraps Even w/ the high cost of egg replacement, it still is a more economic meal than the typical meat  entrée;

hubby's cardiologist told him that his
cholesterol is "LOW" so once in awhile he enjoys a poached egg sandwich or aBacon& cheese omeletSmile

GRANA  here;
 No stores in our area double or  triple coupons ; several refuse  to take them at all; buying sale items& marked down is often the only sure way to cut expenses; also shopping close to home; spending less on gasoline that way!!!!!!!
!!!!!
Shopping at wholesale/club stores &  combining their own with mfr.coupons is the best coupon deal around here,
 I saved $19+ this week using just straight coupons; plus several items were on sale so my savings were even better!
Still we went over budget by nearly$20.EmbarassedCry Hubby got 30 cans of light  beer, maybe enough to get him through the summer( 1/2 can per day)Kisshe  also got pretzels to go w/ the beer,"life's little pleasures"
