In Response to Re: REMOTE CONTROL SNOW BLOWER:
nikki , I typed in remote control snow blower in bing there were a lot of entries related to how-to and a couple selling kits I was thinking of you when I saw this you shouldn't be out there with a shovel too much danger in slipping and you need to think about hubby if you got laid up w a broken hip too maybe some neighbors would be interested in going together if it is really expensive

Thank you for your concern. I think about that as well.
I do have neighbors on both sides that have snow blowers and often I come out and find the sidewalk on either side of my driveway clear. Once in a while my driveway has been done as well. Tell the truth if it got real bad I have enough in the house to "hunker down" for a few days. That includes salt to help melt away the snow and ice. I also have friend with a plow and truck and if worse came to worse he would plow the drive for me/us.
I do stop if I feel that I am slipping of if it is getting heavy and I can't continue without hurting myself. I do start early and often during storms so I can stay ahead of it. I have been out shoveling at 11:00pm not sure the neighbors like the sound of the shovel scraping but I figure if it bothers them they can come help!
