Hi Anita,I just went on line and found this link for you to get started   http://www.cdkitchen.com/recipes/recs/6/Kitty_Cat_Cookies48274.shtml and I also just posted a recipe  for dogs in Are our pets part of the family or just possessions. There are a lot of free recipes out there you just have to search different sites. It would be fun to post them here because a lot of our bakers are animal lovers.

I don't know that you'll find anything in this site, other than suggestions from other people browsing the site.  But, I know that there are books out there with recipes for treats and foods for cats and dogs.  You'll have to hunt for them.  And, sometimes you can modify recipes to make them for your pets.

Treats for Cats
3 cans of Swansons low fat chicken broth
7 or 8 boneless chicken breasts - trimmed of fat
Bring broth to a boil in large soup pot and dump in breasts.
Add enough water to cover breasts.
Simmer for about 2 hours until breasts are very tender and broth is much reduced.
Remove breasts from pot.
Carefull chop breasts into very small pieces and pile back into pot containing broth.
Stir well
Put several heaping tablespoons of this mixture of chopped chicken and broth into a ZipLock Snack Bag.
Pile snack bags into a large ZipLock freezer bag.
Toss into freezer .... you'll have more than a dozen bags of chicken treat for the cats.
If you get hungry - this stuff is great heated up and piled on a hamburger bun.

I recently finished reading "Family Affair" by Debbie Macomber, a story about 2 people who were brought together by their cats.  At the end of the book there are 4 recipes for Homemade Treats for Your Cat, the recipes came from PetPlace.com (www.petplace.com).
