Recently I (we) were introducted to Milton's multi grain crackers.  They are so delicious!!!  We eat them with cheese, soup, plain as a snack.  They are soooo goood.  However they are not easy to find.  A friend's sister gave us some.  Then my son found them on Amazon and ordered them for us.  Recently one of my brothers got them for us at Costco.  My two brothers have a membership there.  I have not found them in the grocery store where I shop.  Have you recently found a new food that you really like and if so, what is it?

Oh yes, Poblanos rellanos. These are stuffed poblano peppers, they are stuffed either with meat or cheese,I like the cheese, then dipped in an egg white and flour batter and then fried.I've had chili rellanos many times but the poblano peppers are even tastier, can't wait for the next time I can have them.I'm a pepper addict.

GaleG, I am a lover of chili rellenos too. I make my own meat & vegetable stuffing (usually about 1/2 gal. at a time to freeze the extra), char, scrape, clean and stuff my pablanos and then instead of dipping in the egg batter and frying, I simply place them in a baking dish and cover w/grated mozzarella or monterey jack. I can then microwave until heated thru or put in the oven until heated and the cheese is melted. I can't have much fried foods and the non fried ones are sooooo good.

If you like the pablanos, try charing, scraping, cleaning and then puree them w/cream, heat it and add a good white cheese to make a sauce. They are really good like that too and make a great sauce for grilled/baked chicken, pork, pasta or steaks.

Hi WA-HA K, Oh wow does that ever sound good.I like the idea of using it as a sauce. What kind of cream do you use? I got so hungry reading this I had to go make a sandwich but It was not as  good as a stuffed poblano pepper.Maybe I could get my husband to eat it as a sauce,I know my son will eat this for sure. Thanks for a great idea.

Marie, Milton's Restaurant is in Del Mar, CA. Their bread is really awesome too!!
They sell to Costco and other grocery stores in the San Diego area. Their baking
company is in Carlsbad, CA. They are now shipping all over the country. I found
them at the Costco in Grandville, MI too. They also sold to Sam's Clubs. Hope this
helps you out. I don't know where you are. I love their french onion crackers too.
I have some new ones that are garlic and herb with extra virgin olive oil.

GaleG, Use about 2-3 pablanos that you have chared, scraped & seeded. Put them in a blender with about 2 TBLSP melted butter and puree. Take about 1 to 1 1/2 cups of cream or half & half and place in a sauce pan and heat then add 1 to 1 1/2 TBLSP flour and stir well. Add the puree and about 1/2 cup of a Mexican cheese called Creama. It is in the refrigerated area with cheeses usually. If not available, add some cream cheese (about 3 oz). Heat and stir until thickened. Try not to boil it much because of the cream.

A great blog spot on using pablanos is at: http://poblanorecipes.blogspot.com/
There are dozens of them and some are for sauces using chicken broth, water or milk. Another use for the above sauce is over pasta with grilled chicken or shrimp. If you like cilantro, make a pasta dish with the sauce and then sprinkle with some chopped cilantro.

Hi WA-HA K, Again thank you for this info.I love Mexican food or any other kind that involves a pepper. One of my friends is from El Paso and she shows me how to make different things, all so good.I have some shrimp in the freezer screaming at me right now, maybe I'll make this tomorrow and yes I love cilantro.Thank you for the link also.I have to tell you years ago,my mother got her hands on some mild chilis and the produce guy told her how to roast them,or chared them. She then stuffed them the way we normally do ( I'm Hungarian ) she used ground pork and beef, sauted onions and rice, salt, pepper and paprika and an egg to hold it all together and cooked it in V-8 juice. Those were the best I've ever eaten.

I love to try new food. There are so many new foods that I can't decide which
one is the best. I like them all. In the last couple of weeks I have learned so
much from all the people on this site. New recipes, new food, new ideas and
tips. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Sometimes I get on this site late at
night because of the 2-3 hour time difference so I don't answer back right
away if someone replies to me. I hope that is ok!!!!!!

I love Stacy's Pita Chips.  The ones with just salt, tried the Italian one and it was way strong in flavor.  I ended up processing them and will use them for meatloaf or meat balls.  I could make a meal of Stacy's Chips and Hummus, I like the Sabra brand.
Unfortunately there are not many foods that I don't like.  Well I have yet to try a Red Velvet Cake that I thought was good.  That is probably the wrong thing to say on this site but then again if there is a good recipe out there one of you may have it..
