I saw the doctor  on Tuesday for my check up after my hip replacement.  He said I can do whatever I want and I also have some special exercises to do.  Since the posterior muscle was cut, it is quite stiff and the exercises are meant to unstiffen it.  I rode my horse this morning!!  it was great to be able to get on without my hip hurting.  I really hadn't ridden since the first of February because it hurt so much.  I'm really happy now and I figure maybe that will help strengthen my legs.

That is great news!  I can't wait to tell my Dad.  He had knee replacement a little over a week ago & is feeling a bit down.  But this will give him more encouragement I am sure.  I hope you will feel better every day.

It does take time and I was very impatient.  Pat, I think knees take a little longer than hips, but I think the first couple weeks are the hardest.  The main thing is to do the exercises.  That will make progress go that much faster.

Yes, I'm planting things.  Yesterday was so nice I spent all afternoon pulling out chickweed and planting the annuals I bought.

Judy,  Good for you!! I planted 6 tomato plants on Friday and will plant 6 more on Monday. Used to plant
tomatoes in March but last 2 years it was too cold. Last year they got hailed on. I usually add 3 more
plants every 2 weeks until July 4. That way I have tomatoes thru Nov. It is 80 degrees here in San Diego
area today.
