In Response to Re: PRAYER LIST/CHAIN:
Gale, that is wonderful. I spoke to my surgeons office today about trying to schedule having this mass removed from my leg. Got to get hubby straightened out first since he had that heart problem several days ago. But, they shocked me royally when they said it was to be a day surgery!!!!!! I asked her to re-affirm that since I am going to be sliced from my knee to my ankle and require a drainage bag for 2-3 weeks. Day surgery my foot!! I want someplace I can be taken care of by someone with some knowledge of what I need and not by a husband who insisted I cook our dinner the night I came home from the hospital in Sept. '09 after having 2 tumors removed from my stomach! I had 32 staples from my rib cage down and he wouldn't cook or do the dishes until I threatened to call our grown kids the next day. I also want a confirmation on what this knot is above my knee on the same leg. Doc said probably bursitus but, I don't think so. It is puffy and soft and tender if pressed on. If it is part of the mass, I want it out too at the same time.

Hi WA-HA K,You can ask to speak with a social worker to see if there is anything that you can do to be able to stay longer or if your insurance would cover a nurse to come out and check on you everyday.Stock your freezer with foods that hubby can heat up for himself and if worse comes to worse ask one of your kids if they would let you stay with them until you get on your feet again.I don't know if you have medicare but they will help to keep you in the hospital longer if you feel you are being discharged too soon.WA-HA, I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Please let us know how you are doing.
