I have noticed among many of the posting that there are VBB members that have faith in God.  I thought it would be nice to start a Prayer List or Prayer Chain.  So, if you or a loved one is

Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes.This is just another bump in the road.Some times these roads have some big chuck holes.LOL I'm very confident that all will go well.As always you are all in my thoughts and prayers.I really enjoy coming here to talk with all of you.My computer was a gift from my brother and I'm still learning how to use this thing,but without it I would not have my two great puppies and I would not have met all you wonderful dear sweet people.God Bless you all !

Well .... I need some prayers too. I've been waiting for this morning's appointment with dermatologist for almost 6 weeks now.  Since Nov/early Dec I've bee ..
Oh well,  This morning a funny little zit was removed from the tip of my nose.  Dr said it was either Basal skin cancer or pre-cancer.  He removed a BIG hunk to be sent off for (I've lost the word) checking.  I go back next Monday morning to hear and maybe be sent to surgeon for more removal.
There's just two stitches on the end of my nose but it sure looks awful.  rats rats rats
Please pray for me too

I really enjoyed Mass this morning,their church has two pastor's a husband and wife.I went to Amish country with them last fall they were nice enough to invite me.I'm going to the dreaded Dr.'s appointment tomorrow,I just wish there was another way to handle this other than surgery.I'll know more after the appointment.I really don't have any symptoms,this is just something they found and have been watching for a few years.I'm 90% blocked on the right side and 50% on the left,these are the carotid arteries in the neck which supply blood to the brain.When these become blocked it can cause a stroke.I'm just really sick and tired of being sick.Anyway thanks so much for your concern and prayers,I would have never made it this far without all the prayers from family and friends.God Bless you also.Susan,you are also in my thoughts and prays along with everyone else here at VBB.God bless everyone.

I continually have you in my thoughts and prayers.  Please keep me updated, I am concerned about my VBB friend and buddy!  It does get tiresome waking up and not feeling good, but you must keep your chin up my friend and think positive...you have God on your side!

Grandson is doing good and was sent home today. Thanks for all the prayers! Gale, I have a dr. appt tomorrow too to decide on the surgery for my leg. I am with you...tired of being tired and sick all the time. I think I will ask about a body length zipper. No more cutting, just zip up and down.    Hey, we can compare scars later. I am up to 4 already on my stomach.

That is great news about your Grandson!  

I know what you mean about having all these surgeries, believe you me, I have had many but you must think positve...that is soo important.  Please know Wa-Ha, that you are in my thoughts and prayers and I wish you the best.  Please let me know, how everything is going.  God is with you...always!!!

My dear friend, Nancy...

You must think positive!  Of course I will say prayers for you and you know I will be thinking of you always!  God is with you and he will give you the strength to go through this.  I know what you are going through, it's very hard!  Just remember my favorite poem, Foot Prints in the Sand!  God bless!!

Nancy Prayers on the way!  When a friend had to have that done she went out a bought a big red BOZO nose to go over her nose which made her look really funny.  She said if people were going to stare then she would give them something to laugh at.  She told them the circus was in town and a clown kissed her and his nose stuck to her nose and she wasn't taking it off!  Really funny for about two weeks.

Nancy, the basal cell is one of the easiest to treat.  My husband had several removed with no problems. 
I am sure that your doctor will suggest this but you should set up an annual exam for a skin check.  I am pretty sure that the Cancer Society or the Organization of Dermatologists (not sure of the official title) do a yearly screening program where doctors will do skin checks free of charge if your insurance does not cover annual skin checks.  Ask the dermatologist if they are aware of the program. I have seen it advertised in magazines in the summer.
Good luck. Once the stitches are gone I am sure you will never notice. 
Don't let the kitties play with the stitches, I know if my cat Mittens  sees something on me that is odd she will touch it.

Nancy, my husband has had some of those removed from his nose too. It was treated and cured. Doc said it was a simple thing to take care of.

Grandson is doing good. No pain meds since yesterday at noon! That boy has a strong will for a 14 yr old.

My daughter, son  in law and grandsons lost a special lady this morning. My son in laws mother passed away in her sleep after fighting cancer. They are all heart broken, especially the 9 yr old. She was his Nan and he had to see her every day. She lived next door to them and the boys were always going over to see her and check on her. She was a good friend to me also.

I do have to have surgery again. Large fatty tissue mass from knee to ankle is pushing muscles, nerves and bones and causing major pain and problems in my leg. But first, I have to have a CT again on my stomach to see if I have more tumors or another mass in it since it looks like I swallowed a football over a basketball. Doc said it would be a painful surgery and require a drainage tube for some time. It hasn't been scheduled yet since I have to get the CT first and more documentation from the doctor who removed the tumors. He was a very nice person and I think I will like him. He seems very straight forward and doesn't pull any punches. That is what I need.

Hi WA-HA K, So sorry to hear about your friends passing.I'm glad to hear your grandson is doing good,kids heal faster than we do.WA-HA I wish you all the luck on your upcoming surgery,get well and back to the gardening,even if you can only do a little.I plant herbs in pots on my porch and I let my son do the heavy stuff,he even helped me do my canning last year.I think that's good for men to see how much work goes into feeding them.Lol  Let us know how you are doing.Remember you are in my thoughts and prayers.God Bless !

Wa Ha k -- You're in my prayers too. I pray that this surgery does the job and has little pain.

My dermatologist said that because of the size and location of this thing - I'll have to have plastic surgery after it's removed.

Let me preface by saying that HE IS FINE - but my husband's car slid on a patch of ice on his way to his first service call yesterday and rolled over twice before coming to rest at the bottom on an embankment,,,had to get new glasses yesterday, as his were destroyed in the crash, and he is almost legally blind without them.  What a fun day all around.  He needs a new car, but this was not the way I hoped to get one for him!  Our insurance does not cover glasses, but Lenscrafters was having half off on lenses, which was a relief, and AAA cut the exam bill in half, too, so the cost was quite a bit less than it might have been.  WHEW!  Today has to be a better day, right?

Erica, God was really watching over your husband.  So glad he is ok.  Material things can be replaced, people can not.

Thank God he is okay...He sure had God watching over him!  I pray that he will not be sore from the accident and better days to follow!  God bless you both!
