What do you think? would you report a suspect item to the Mall Security?
OR would you just ignore  it as foolish fear on your part?

Ann, I hate the mall.  I usually only go there if I"m going to one of the "fringe" stores that you can access from the outside.  That would be Sears, Target or Penney's.

the only time i go to the mall is to take my g.s. to barnes and noble----------can be accessed from outside-------------if they don't have shopping carts------------they really don't want my business--------------here in my area--in the last few years-------most of the stores ------sears, penney's, target, kohls, palais royale, etc now have free standing stores and some kind of carts

You need to be on the outlook for anything that could be harmful to others.

I'm really not sure what I would do.  I guess I would have to be in that situation to see how I would react.  I don't go to the mall very often and if I do go, I try to go when there aren't as many people.

It's really a shame that the malls are subject to some bozos who think they own the place free and clear!!  Around here, it seems that the "bad" stuff only happens on Friday & Saturday nights.  IF I have to go to the mall (lately, I go very rarely), I make sure I am there mid week, and fairly early in the morning.  More and more, we are becoming prisoners in our own homes!  Frankly, I'm getting sick of it!!

I choose not to be a victim.  If you give into these fears, "they" win.

My kids took me to the Mall just before Christmas and that was the first time in five years.I hate Mall shopping for the most part  I would report this if I  saw something of this sort ,you just never know.If someone walked into an airport with these sort of things they would probably be arrested until sorted out and the items confiscated

I try to stay away from the malls whenever possible.  But if I did see something suspicious I would certainly report it.  Some of the smaller malls don't have security guards so I would probably report it to a manager who could call the police.  It's a sad state of our country these days with whackos everywhere.  Rule number one for me is never to go to the mall after dark and always be on guard.  The second rule is never to go near the mall, ever, around a holiday lol.

I do 85 - 90% of my shopping in the Internet.  I don't remember the last time I was in a mall ....... it had to be 15-18 years ago.

We have a large mall several miles away.  I don't go there.  When I worked, everyone went to the mall and they thought I was strange because I never went.  I like to order from LL Bean and other catalogs.
