Do any of you plan on having a party or planning special dinner or snacks to have while watching the show?
If you have plans share what foods you will have or snacks and if there is a reason behind what you are serving.

i used to watch them  but haven't for a few yrs now, but i never had a party or went to one because you might as well not watch as to try w/ all the distractions of a party

i plan to watch         the amazing race         one of my very favs       and then  change to the food network and watch        worst cooks in america               then i just might tune it in and watch a little while reading

way too many awards shows nowadays  for my tastes

Every year I say that I'm not going to watch it....too much time is wasted; but I always end up watching it and I somehow always fall asleep and miss the ending.  The beginning is the only part I really enjoy.  Not sure how that will be with the new Emcee tonight.  I have never watched his program, so I don't know his kind of entertainment.  There is always the "off" button, however.

We have a friend who has hosted an Oscar Party every year for 25 years. We can't make it this year, unfortunately. And I usually don't watch the telecast, but there's so many good movies out this year that I have recorded the show and will watch parts of it later.

I refuse to watch the mega wealthy get awards.  Their paycheck and fame should be enough with out a big production.

We rarely go to the movies, don't watch oscars or any of those award things. I really don't care who wins

I enjoyed watching the Oscars on TV.  The only movie I had seen was Disney's -  Brave.  Hope to see some more.

I gave up on watching TV except for an occasional football game or something I really want to see.  Nothing of importance on TV anymore anyway.  When my husband was in the hospital recently I watched more TV than I have in probably the last 10 years, only because there was nothing else to do.

Not a big movie fanatic.  I usually don't see a movie until it comes to the library and I can check it out.  I did switch the channel a couple of times last night to check out the gowns, but other than that, I don't really watch them.

Due to the fact that my husband has been either in the hospital or in rehab since the start of January I have not been able to see many movies.
I do stop at the library and pick up fairly new releases.  When I was there last week looking for Argo, Loopers and End of Watch, both pretty good, I was told that I could put them on hold.  I did and when she asked if I wanted any others she mentioned Le Mis...so I have that on hold.  It is not out on DVD yet but I will get first "crack" at it when it comes in.
I must say the Library is a great way to see movies without the expense of going to the theater. (I just might break down and see Le Mis on the big screen though.)
