I WAS TOASTING SEVERAL TRAYS OF NUTS FOR MY FUDGE AND CHEESE BALLS . I STARTED TO REMOVE THE TRAY OF WALNUTS WHEN MY OLDEST SON RUNS OUT ALL EXCITED ABOUT THE RED SOX GETTING CARL CRAWFORD. ..NEEDLESS TO SAY HE SCARED ME...MY WALNUTS WENT EVERYWHERE....IT WAS ABOUT SIX CUPS OF NUTS....WE BOTH LAUGHED..HE TELLS ME OF THE 5 SECOND RULE....I GIVE HIM A LOOK..I NEVER USED THE 5 SECOND RULE. HE GOT THE DUST PAN SWEPT THEM ALL UP. I TOLD HIM TO PUT A COAT ON BRING THEM OUTSIDE FOR THE BIRDS AND SQUIRRELS...BEFORE HE WENT OUT I THREW INTO THE PILE RAISINS,DRIED FRUIT AND SOME BREAD...HE DUMPED IT OUTSIDE AND LEFT FOR WORK.....ONCE HE GOT THERE HE CALLED ME...HE OFFERED TO BUY ME SOME MORE NUTS... I JUST LAUGHED AND SAID " IT'S ONLY NUTS"....THE CRITTERS SURE LIKED THEM....NOW I'AM OFF TO TOAST SOME MORE NUTS... OH NUTS...
I would drop the nuts as well. Great news with the Red Sox....You made the day for the critters..Never liked the 5 second rule.Yuck.Go Red Sox, huge fan.
Well Julie The little animals sure appreciate your "mistake" they won't have to look far for a meal.We really should put out things for them to eat during the winter months.Drop some raisins they really like those.
