the gas was 2.82 w/ card discount of 3 cents

I decided to drive by front of store since the lot was less than half filled around 10am
right in front of the door was an empty handicapped spot w/ a handicap cart right there so I parked and went in
it is unbelievable
jewelry store   furniture  clothing  baby equipment bazaar items   pictures  rugs   towels  sheets  I didn't see it all

I bought  rotel for .42,  b.c. cake mix  .49     mini oreos were .79         lol butter  1.49
my calcium was 14.59 plus bogo

also, if you buy jewelry, furniture or anything you get the fuel points too

Sounds like a great store Nellie.  One of our chains, owned by Safeway, will be closing at the end of the year and I heard that maybe Kroger will try to gain a foothold around here again.   The last Kroger in Chicago closed many decades ago.  It would be nice to have some competition for our business which usually translates into lower prices at least for a short while.  I certainly will be sorry to see my local Dominick's store close since it is the closest grocery store to my house and I have been shopping there for almost 30 years.

H.M.  I am in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and I have mixed feelings about Dominick's closing.  I found the store that I happened to stop at in Fox River Grove very nice but when I went to my local store in Crystal Lake they did not have a good selection and when I happened to stop at the one in Lake in the Hills the store looked like a ghost town and really had nothing that would make me want to continue shopping.
I do hope that Mariano's comes into one of the stores close to me. (the Mariano's is a Centrella based store) Kroger would be nice as well. I recall shopping at a few of them many years back...more years than I care to recall!

I think they're taking on walmart and target for their grocery expansions
also it's about 17 miles from me        but on the way to other  places

I think Kroger like heb       had their start in texas  and are primary here
appletree's came for a while   and others but none stayed long
we don't even have a k-mart    since about 2000

I did buy a flat  of rotel  (24)    but i'll go back for more    it's got 11/15 exp date      and my son uses a lot of it
I intended to pick up ads but somehow got home without even the one I had in the store
