Wow Judy -- that sounds like no fun at all. We will be praying for you and eagerly waiting for your return. I wish I lived closer so I could bring food and help around the house.
I DO live close enough that I CAN come in any emergency time.

....My husband fell this morning and broke his hip.

Good Luck and I hope you have a quick recovery. You are very brave to go in after the first one..... I know it was an ordeal to get thru. This time you will at least have some insight as to how to be best prepared. I had to have my Dad stay at a Rehab place for a month after his was done. He hated it, but it was great for me. I had trained people taking care of him 24/7. So I could cut back on the worrying a little.

It should go well. I'm in pretty good shape so that will help. The people who are already using a cane, walker or wheel chair are the ones who take the longest to recover. I was back on my horse 6 weeks after the last one. Hoping for the same this time.

Judy, I do hope all goes well for you, and I give you a Gold Star for undergoing a second replacement! I have vowed that if I need my other hip done, they will have to strap and chain me to the gurney!! I pray that your surgery will go well and that you will have a quick and complete recovery!

I guess my pre-ops were fine. they said they'd tell me by Wednesday (the second) if I needed to do anything else. Since I haven't heard from them I trust all is well.
They will call me tomorrow to tell me what time to be at the hospital. I said I wanted to be the first or second one since I don't do well not eating for a long time.
