I'm new to the site and it seems a lot of people are attached to the old site which I've never seen before. The new site seems fine to me. I can find things ok. My only problem is, it loads a bit slow

My only problem is, it loads a bit slowly. I also don't understand what the point of the brownie points are. People mention those a lot. Do you win stuff? Anyway, I'm hoping to find some great halloween ideas here. For those who don't like the site there are lots of these site around, some of them don't like as nice.

Hi Alexys! Welcome to the VeryBestBaking community. Thank you for your questions and your input on the site.
We apologize for the slow load time - we're working to fix that now.

Welcome to the site, Alexys! Yes, most of us were used to the old site and when something changes as drastically as VBB did, it takes some getting used to it. And you're not alone....the site also loads very slowly for me. I find the reason to be the moving pictures on the home page. Some days are better than others, but most days it loads very slowly. It would be nice if VBB would just put some stationary photos there, instead of the slow loading moving ones! I've suggested it to them but.....
Happy New Year, Alexys, and enjoy all the great folks here at VBB, as well as the terrific recipes, tips, and ideas! It's a great family to be a part of and I enjoy it very much!
