Everyone have a great day and a great pie.

I think my Nutella Butterscotch Bars count as a pie.  I made it using a pie crust and it is round like a pie.  It has sort of a gooey center like some pies.  So just for National Pie Day I am going to call it a pie rather than a bar.
Thanks for the information that it is Pie Day.  I will be more prepared next year.  I would guess there is a "day" for just about anything.  Find a favorite food and see if there is a day for it.  I wonder if there are 365 "food" days.

I guess I had better start baking.  How about Lemon Meringue?

Sometimes I make a cobbler for our weekly office meeting (8 am every Wednesday) and I call it breakfast fruit pie.  LOL You made it, you get to call it whatever you want!

One of my sons teaches Advanced Placement Math in a high school.  Last year for pie day, the students baked pies for Pie (Pi Day).
They treated other classes in the school.   I thought that was pretty neat!!!

My Mom made a Carmel pie that was to die for!  I am so thankful to have her recipes...I miss her!

I had no idea it was National Pie Day.  Does it count if my mother-in-law made a pie and sent it home with us to eat??

Pie Day - a great idea - especially if it's ice box lemon pie.
