Anything with Marie Callendar's name on it is GOOD!  Even those family microwave dinners are good!  We have visited Marie Callander's Restuarants whenever there is one available when we used to travel.  We always ended up getting a bowl of Chili with Cornbread and the special Honey Butter that she has.....and always finished the meal off with a piece of pie.  The only thing....we had so many different kinds to choose from, it was a chore; but we kept track, and never ordered the same one twice.  We wanted to see how many different ones we could taste over the years.  It was quite a few....we each ordered something different, and we each shared out choice.  I am going to CA at the end of this month.  I do hope I am able to find one of her establishments!!

Unfortunately or possibly fortunately I am the only one in the house that likes Pecan Pie.  So I only get it when I see it on a menu.  (last time it was so bad I sent it back! The bottom of the crust was raw not just a soggy bottom type of soft but it seemed mushy like it had not been cooked at all. Don't know how they managed to have a raw crust with a baked pie...)
I will have to look for a slice some where..OH, there is a restaurant down the road that I have heard has awesome pies I guess I can stop there on my way to get my hubby.

with a frozen pie  like m.c. or Edwards         you can cut a slice while frozen and return the rest to the freezer            or they sell  a 2 slice size     and both brands are really good

Pecan pie is one of my all-time favorites.  However, since I got my lower partial it is almost impossible to eat any kind of nut pie.  Maybe it's a good thing, weight wise lol.

I too have made pecan pies and other kinds as well
but not lately
I buy the m.c. or Edwards    pies only when Kroger has them on sale         usually 4.99   and sometimes I have a coupon as well for 1. or 2.
that's under the price of a pound of pecans  before you add the crust, and syrups and sugars you need
and they have already been baked so  it doesn't heat up the house
I also have a new lower bridge   so I only eat a slice occasionally   and if I had baked one myself I would end up throwing it out
