GRANA here;When we had our large (private home) lawn;a neighbor told me not to pull out the dandlions by hand; they would justregrow from pieces of root that break off
I bought used aspecia inexpensive hand tool & easly puledthem out.You ight ake dandelion tea out of theose edible parts( leaves & bllossoms? and not waste all that lush gtrowth?

Over an inch of slow steady rain fell in our Drought area so when it clears up the lawn will need mowing.

This area has received a lot of much needed rain recently. The ground is too wet to mow. I am not complaining.

my son and g.s. have been mowing mine weekly since february------bi- weekly before that-----in fact they came yesterday evening and mowed

thankfully our rather rainy (above record) dec-april put us out of extreme drought (texas gulf coast) and i was able to finish burning out the 2 very large oak stumps left over from ike-----(burn bans for 2 summers have halted that progress) we had to hurry it up-----------because all the signs say that our drought will be back soon

No mowing today, thank goodness, since it will be around 93 degrees. Seems like every day of the week somebody around here is mowing. Due to allergies I have to keep all the windows closed when anybody near us mows. Oh well, tomorrow is supposed to be hot too so maybe, just maybe, I can open a window before it gets too hot lol.

my son came by yesterday to dig out some old bricks and concrete foundation parts of the shed that i lost in ike----------------he has not been able to mow about a quarter of my lot because of them----and the weeds covering them----he had to use the weed eater there-------tiring and time consuming-------but he had just cut it thursday---------------when i walked back there to see------------i was very surprised to see deep 1" fissures already spreading across that part of my property---------------even after our record-breaking rainfall from nov-april-------the drought is on it's way back-----------just as they predicted

at least now he can use his riding mower to do the whole job

I mowed the worst looking part of the front yard. When the lawn mower ran out of gas so did I.

my son came and mowed this morning--------my g.s. has poison ivy, so he didn't come----------he gets it really bad when he has it

hardly any rain lately-------------so all that really needed mowing was the weeds and trash grass mixed in

Elsa, Hi how are you? Have not seen a post from you in a while I hope all is well.

I also need to mow. I was told a week ago that I should mow more often and not as low. So I figured I would give it a chance to recover and I will mow tomorrow. I will adjust the wheels and see what happens.
