Yesterday I mowed the weeds. When  the weeds turn to seed you have no choice.

My neighbor decided to mow the weeds down Thursday after I did so Wednesday. A black snake that eluded them for a week reappeared.  Using my shovel which the handle was broken in the process, my rake and my saw I think the snake is dead.

My neighbor on the other side finally decided to mow the lawn Saturday I was picking up limbs from Fridays Storm and found a  large Snake in my yard. I used my shovel that the other neighbor broke and has not replaced, a hand saw, a very large knife and the hedge clippers to chop up and kill the snake.

Oh, Maxine, two snakes in three days sounds like a terrible problem.  Maybe your neighbor could help a little bit more and replace your tools.

Yikes Maxine, sounds like you are having a real battle not only with the snakes but the weeds.  Hopefully it gets better soon.

No mowing here yet.  All we're getting is rain every day.  Most of the backyard looks like a pond and everything is water-logged.

I had to mow the weeds that turned to seeds. I found another snake. This one was smaller. I had on heavy gloves and boots so I moved it to the walkway and stomped it. My neighbor has not replaced or repaired my shovel yet. I usually don't lend tools.

Maxine, are these poisonous snakes?  I have heard that many snakes will return to where they were hatched to lay their eggs.
Sounds like you have your hands full.

we don't bother the other kind   of snakes
