I have a new lawmower. Extreme heat, weeds, allergies you name it I need to mow early AM.

Early Monday morning I became acquainted with my new lawn mower. I mowed the majority of the lawn to improve the look of the yard.

The weeds were too wet early in the  morning to safely use the lawn-mower.When the weeds were dry enough to mow it was 90. I do not want to use the lawn-mower.Gas is high,it to hot.

I can't mow the grass anymore ,sure wish I could I loved working in  the yard and would be out there all day long.Lucky for me our son is in college and still at home so he takes care of the yard and anything else I need help with.I was blessed with two wonderful boys.

I don't think I have mowed my lawn in about 4 weeks.  It has been so dry there is really nothing here to mow.  I refuse to water grass!!! I will water trees and shrubs but not grass.
We did get some rain last night but not enough to really make a difference.

It's too dry!  Little (about 3 min.) of rain yesterday, and the same so far today.  On the Weather Channel, it looks as if we might luck out tonight and get some real rain.  My plants are gasping!!!

No lawn to mow with all this hot dry weather.  We did have a surprise thunder shower early this morning, giving us over 1/2 inch. Not nearly enough, but better than nothing.

With the lack of water, just about everybody's lawn is brown(except maybe under the trees).  Some spots are starting to green up again with the rain we had on Wednesday morning and last night. 

You're right, Nikki, nowhere near enough to get back to normal.  Good thing is that grass usually comes back even if it takes a while, gardens not so much lol.  Maybe we'll get some more rain tonight since it's been cloudy all day.

I mowed the weeds early AM Wednesday. The city has reduced mowing. I feel since the city reduced mowing so should I. I do not waste water on the "Lawn". I only water plants, herbs and vegetables. When I am asked if I water the "Lawn" I tell anyone I can not eat "Grass". Gas and water bills are too high.

my son is coming tomorrow to mow and edge         it's been 2 wks because of all the rain and it's very ragged               

but as per our agreement that when the power equipment went on sale  i replaced his mower and high wheel string trimmer last month
he managed to find a    husqvarna   57" zero degree mower  for 200. less than the mower he had been looking at that was not a zero         and we got the trimmer for about 200. off regular price          so now , once he gets familiar with the mower            he'll be able to do my yard in under 1 hr            on an evening instead of the weekend

I completed the weed chopping early Friday AM. Growing herbs, plants and vegetables is Fun. Running  the lawn mower is work.

With the drought mowing causes an effect that resembles the dust bowl.
