MOTHER'SDAY PLANS/ OBSERVATION?????????????????

GRANA here;
This Sunday, May 13th is Mother's Day!
Both of us have lost our Moms; & our grown kids & Grands live far away so there are no special plans for us/me:>(
NOT TRUE:
OnFriday , the11th; hubby is taking me out for fish; cole slaw & chips( sub steamed veggie combo)at the last remaining seafood place in our area where we can get good really good seafood at a great value/ price($7.99 pp, including lemonade ( better service, consistantly but a 20 minute longer drive than theirsecond & newer location
On Sunday I plan to make a tuna steak, to share /; corn on the cob( season's first, from Florida) & another steamed veggie combo, folowed by butter pecan topped fudge cake or banana splits for dessert; a meal we can both enjoy together hubby, hopefully,will have had his fill of French fries on Friday;'cuz I'm not making any n Sunday(corn cobs are enogh carbs for me)
There are stil some"fries"leftover for him if he really wants some(I'll reheat them in the oven along /my crispy fish filet

My mom will be on a plane flying home from Minnesota. 3 weeks ago I sent her a gift and card. The gift will give her something to read on the plane out and back! A nice devotional--A Cool Drink of Water-- from Guideposts.

No Mom for either of us....but.....our daughter always takes time to take us to breakfast/brunch.....and always brings me flowers and a gift. How sweet is that??!! Our son is out of town and unable to be here....but....he always sends a card and a gift, and he always calls me! I am so blessed!!

We are having an early celebration with our 2 adult children and families on Friday. It will be a double celebration as my son's birthday is today. Actually he was born on Mother's day 47 years ago. My husband has reservations for the 2 of us to go out to dinner on Mother's Day at one of our favorite restaurants.

I have a grandson and nephew that will graduate on Sat, so I will take my mom to
the parties for them and all the rest of family will be there so will celebrate that day.

We went to dinner on Saturday because the guys had to work yesterday.My oldest called to wish me a Happy Mothers day.My youngest brought me flowers,a card and something that I love a box of Walkers pure butter shortcakes.he knows what Mama likes.!

I gave my Mom her card and gifts on Friday, since I knew she was invited out on the weekend. Then I drove her to the city to visit her friend. Well, her friend wasn't feeling well so they ended up not going to the party but they had a good time together anyway.

My husband went out and bought an obscene amount of flowers. Lucky for me they could all be planted in the garden lol. My daughter came to visit and my son called to say he would be coming by this week. Almost all the flowers have been planted so I think it was a great weekend.
