GRANA  here;
It seems that pharmacies do not know how to  deal w/ the PART D ( drugs) plan coverage.
Each ew original &refill  l brings itrs own troubles( at most pharmacies)
Problems range from ordersnot being ready after we recieveacaltellingusthattheyare ready, o needed drugs being outofstock or outdated/expired.COPAY amounts areioften mis-configured & attempsi are madeto overcharge Seniors on Medicare.Thesearesoomeoftheproblems we have experienced:

The TARGET pharmacy triedto charge my husband over $200 for his RXHe insisted they refigure the amount & agreed to agreed to the refigured amountof$15.50 ( CO-PAY) of $15.50& was given an expired & useless pkg.He had to go back again. Hubby called his insurance company: there is no CO-PAY...The insurance ompany PAIDTHE IN FULL AMOUNT to the harmacy, , the next day.Hubby went back w /proof of over/extra payment, in hope  of getting his refund.He was told hat the  local store could not  issue a pharmacy refund..Forms needed to go to National  hdqtrs  Two weeks later, I  called National's CUSTOMER CARE LINE & was told the regional mgr was in charge of the case ;I requestedstedA name& contact # ;it was not known or the date refund check was issued( "but I KNOW IT WAS!). I verified that forms werefilled  out &  approved &we Ishould  wait patiently for another  2 weeks to recieve it...I called  weekly & talked  to CUSTOMER CARE MANAGERS & informed them of the impending small claims suit.I requested  a letter  stating that the refund had been aproved & was on its way.This was over a month after the approval & no letter could be sent( no proceedure in place)
I was told that other ustomers arebeing more patient & understanding  about the overcharge and having to wait for their refund.I replied w/ this being  a repeat & Ongoing problem they should have a better proceedure in place t  to make  things right; that WALMAT  issued   efund w/o our even knowing about the overcharge.I was lod that if we aren't happy w/ their serice,we could/should takeOur RX business elsewhere.We did that; CVS had no problem in charging the correct amt(  ZERO) but it took aN xtra1/2 hour after being called to pick up his RX & walking over there for His item  to actually be ready.  Wamart also got the price right, but  They are a LONG DRIVE & Too far to walk to) = EXTRA  COST to use theirpharmacy AND the clerk did not remove  the SECURITY TAG .......Hubby was stopped by SECURITY on his way out, treated Roughly  & embarassed.
He called the mail rderdiabetes supply company  ( AS SEEN ON TV)  & immediately was assured the order was @ no COOPAY OROTHER  charge & would arrive in ten days. We were offered the FREE diabetes RECIPE BOOK( as advertised)
we were told it would be shipped right out & would arrrive w/in 10 days.Hubby's dr gave him gave him  a ten day supply to tide him over.The pkg arrived right on time [ 9 days] ; complete w/ FREE RECIPE BOOK, as advertised. we were both"in shock" at something actually being done correctly & "as advertised"
 Service was pleasant & his HEARRING LOSS  was dealt w/patientlySurprised
.I guess there is stll hope for Amercan business; at last one U.S.company is doing things right.!
