In Response to Re: Lying in political ads:
I'm sick of the whole thing too, but I learned as a little girl that if the silent majority doesn't speak up, we lose our rights to the most verbal. We no longer have prayer in our schools, even silent prayer, churches and synagogues cannot display religious scenes anywhere. Happy Holidays has taken the place of Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, etc. Sorry to offend anyone and yes this is a baking site, but this is also around the water cooler and we women (mostly women VBB's) wouldn't have the right to vote if some women didn't become verbal and fight for the right to vote.

You are very right Angela. They have taken prayer out of public places but that still shouldn't stop us praying anytime we want to.Last year I went to Amish country with my son, dil and their church. We openly prayed at our dining table and I was very happy to join in.That is what is great about our country we can do this.My God and everyone else's God is always with us no matter where we go.My extended family is multi cultural. So many are so different, yet I love them all.We need not agree with each other but respect each others opinions.I don't agree with all my political parties views.I don't even know if they are being honest with their views but it seems they all try to cater to a group that will ensure them greater number of votes whether they agree with the issues or not.You did not offend me at all I just think this might cause hard feelings amongst us.That is all I was thinking. A big hug ((((( Angela ))))) I have a friend who is on the opposite end of the spectrum as far as her religious and political views and I make it a point just to nod my head in agreement and smile so I don't offend her.I love her dearly and enjoy her company and would never do anything to jeopardize that.
