yesterday I went to our new aldis    grand opening
I really liked the store       more like they all used to be   mostly groceries, no frills
the format in this area (Texas) is 5 rows   and all 3 sides covered   it was crowded  but everyone seemed to be in a good mood, talking tips, sharing finds, no pushing no shoving or grabbing
a lot of employees present, constantly refilling shelves
also, I did not (at 5 ft)  have to ask for anything to be retrieved from the top shelves because there were no high shelves
there were 3 male high level types there     and I asked them about the riding carts
they said they actually have 3 for each store  but decided to wait until it slows down to put them in use
when I paid with my debit card, I was asked if I would like cash back  I asked how much was allowed   and was told   $200.00 (wm only allows 100.) so I took it.  I bank with my credit union and have to pay a fee for atm withdrawals  so I always get cash back on purchases for my cash needs with no fee

I am so happy to hear that you had a great experience at Aldi's
Now you have to let us know what you think of the food.
And aren't the cashiers fast!

yes, in fact when the lady ahead of me tried to pay w/ credit card, the cashier explained it and the lady went to get other payment stating she only needed to go to her car
the cashier voided the ticket, got an ok moved the buggy aside and went right on to mine

I got both of the sauces you mentioned, but haven't tried either yet
I got the bacon wrapped filets gale recommended  and had one for dinner last night and enjoyed it
I also bought their "velveeta" and "rotel"" and sent to my sons house to try
I bought "oreos"  "cinnamon grahams"    and bacon bits and 3 kinds of deli sliced cheese  and a can of chicken and dumplings           and they had 30oz cans of crushed tomatoes   I haven't been able to find hardly any crushed tomatoes  since the grocery stores have all filled their aisle with all of those diced, seasoned tomatoes
I got a.p. flour for 1.19    sugar  1.49
but I only kind of skimmed thru     skipping produce altogether  as it was  "triple parked"
they had avocadoes and bananas for .29       and strawberries and pineapple  for .99   and green grapes for .89

and believe it or not I found some new cushion for my deck chairs   for only 4.99 each  nice and thick   and no buttons or tufts     they only had 3 in the box        and probably would have brought me more  but i'll try again soon
my feet, legs and back were protesting greatly

Store sounds nice.   We don't have that store where I live.  Where one of my sons lives, they have them.  He shops there sometimes.  He Does a lot of shopping at Trader Joe's.
