Have you heard Jackie Evancho?  She is the 11 year old who was runner up on " America's Got Talent" a couple years ago.  She is a trained soprano and has an amazing voice.  Her take on"Nessum Dorma" from Turnadot is amazing especially since that aria is usually sung by a man.  I really like a lot of different music.  One of my favorite musicians is Eric Clapton.  Though he was originally a rock and roll guy, he has really branched out especially in the blues.  He recently recorded an album with Winton Marsalis which is really awesome.  ( as my grandson would say).

But I will listen to a lot of different types of music and I do enjoy most.I think next to laughter music is good for the soul!

Nope - not me.  But I'm tone deaf so I'm hopeless with all music.

I enjoy light opera, but not the heavy stuff. My favorite music is the oldies. But I also like listening to Il Divo.

I like most music (sorry, I do not consider rap music), oldies, the 3 tenors, a little Abba, Al Martino, Andre Rieu, Andrea Bocelli, Andy Williams, Connie Francis, Elvis, Engelbert Humperdink, Julio Iglesias, a little Jon Bon Jovi, Marty Robbins, Nana Mouskouri, some Neil Diamond, Roy Orbison, Patsy Cline, Trans Siberian Orchestra, throw in some Bobby Vinton ( yes some polkas), Air Supply, Beach Boys, I can't forget Buddy Holly, Celine Dion, Enya, Righteous Brothers. There are more, but I am getting tired of typing & I can't remember all Laughing

I do not usually listen to Opera.  I went to an opera once, but probably won't go to another one.  I enjoy plays more.  As far as music goes, I like a lot of different kinds (except rap).

I love polka music. We used to have Octoberfest at our local fair grounds.I was in my early twenties then and my uncle took us there every evening during Octoberfest every where there were polka bands. We ate and danced and just had a great time.I discovered Gyros there and at that time they were a dollar apiece. My cousin and I ate gyros until I thought we were going to start looking like one.lol I used to love doing the Polka, can't do that anymore, but I still enjoy the music.I think for me to list all my favorite music would be difficult ,it would be a much shorter list to name what I didn't like.I listen to my kids music too and like it.

I like most kinds of music especially easy listening, instrumental , opera, country, rock, etc.  I don't care much for rap or heavy metal.

Like some others have said, I don't consider rap to be music.  I cannot stay in the same room with it.  Opera is ok if it isn't too "screechy". I really love classical music and the days I'm home, listen to it on the PBS station.  Old 50's and early 60's is good, like Elvis etc.  Older country is fine, but the newer stuff I don't care for.  Heavy metal isn't music; it is just noise.

I like most music....especially the "OLD" stuff....one can usually sing right along with the music....my question is:  what will the "kids" nowdays be singing along with when they reach our age?!! I have a very hard time even understanding what they are trying to say...not to mention the LOUD music that just about drowns out the singer.  I do like Opera and listen to it quite often.  I have only seen one Opera....Madame Butterfly.  That was absolutely beautiful.
